What grade would you give your team over the past few days?

Like from draft day to today.
I would give my team (Knicks) a B+/B
I think the draft went great for us. We got a good shooter (who needs help creating a shot though :/ ) and decent wing defender to help make-up JR Smith's more than likely departure. Later in the night we got a young, athletic steal in CJ Leslie going un-drafted. But then, like always, the Knicks had to ruin something. They traded for Andrea Bargnani. I don't think the move was TERRIBLE, but IMO we definitely gave up too much. From what I read,

• 2017 2nd

(please correct me if I'm wrong)
for a decent player. Way overpaid. Although I think the move would only really work out if Tyson attempted to improve his post game. That way, Barg can go to the 3 line or stay mid-range and give Tyson room to work down-low.

BUT, enough about the Knicks. I would like to hear from your teams as-well.

I'd give Raptors A- grade over past few days. Getting rid of Bargnani is HUGE. Non Raptor fans don't see significance of the Raptors-Knicks deal, but basically...

Raptors lose a 12M contract and take on 2 contracts in the 3M range and another cheap contract AND get a 1st round pick and two 2nds(1 of which is in 2014 draft, the hyped up "DEEP" draft)

It's not so much about the quality of players Raptors got back, it's just the fact that they got rid of a guy who was IMPOSSIBLE to move over past few years, and not only got rid of him, but got players AND draft picks(1st pick too) for him.

Raptors team of 2012-2013 finished 4 games out of playoffs. 2013-2014 team where Novak,Richardson will (HOPEFULLY) replace Fields,Kleiza and you have healthy JV along with full season of (recently fixed vision) Rudy Gay, should equal several more wins.

Low 40s win range isn't something to be overly excited about, but increasing your record by around 10 wins from previous season, that should be seen as reason to be excited, regardless of what your record might be(compared to the top teams in the league) even after improvements.

Trey Burke is a leader and a guy that can manage our offense for years. Plus he's already stated that Utah is a place he could spend his whole career at. Like his attitude.

Rudy Gobert is a nice project big too.

Now, if only we could get Jefferson and Millsap out of here already. It'd be nice to see Kirilenko back in a Jazz uniform, too. We need a defensive presence for sure.

Played the draft really well by taking Nerlens Noel who had a lot of value and flipped him for Jrue Holliday, passing on Ben Mc left him for Sacramento which made Tyreke Evans expendable. Tyreke should become a versatile 6th man off the bench who could play 3 spots or insurance for when Eric Gordon goes down. Brining back Aminu was solid as he's a good rebounder and defender. Just need to finish FA by bringing in another Center and possibly 3pt shooter

The James Harden trade is looking dumber and dumber by each passing signing. We lose Kevin Martin in FA to the T-Wolves and we haven't done anything to sign anyone to replace him. Not sure what Presti is thinking, but let's pray that his decisions are the right decisions.

Hoping that Jeremy Lamb and PJ3 can break out their 2nd year.

Detroit gets a B-

I have no problems with the draft. They took who I thought they were going to take in the 1st and the 2nd round is either a crap shoot or bench guys anyways.

As far as Josh Smith goes, he's a good player, but there has to be something else coming. Does Toronto change their mind on Gay? Does Boston consider trading Rondo? Let Knight come off the bench/trade him and go after Jennings? Detroit does have expiring contracts and young players. Nevertheless, it's much better than if they did nothing considering Charlotte has Detroit's protected 1st this year. What's the point of cap space if you can't spend it on good players? Detroit isn't going to be able to get a Carmelo or a LeBron next year. Smith is also better than the bums Dumar tried to sign last time Detroit had cap space.
