Yeah man, I tried to play 13 and I couldn't even make it through the 1st. Qtr! Friday can't get here fast enough!

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering how everyone is taking to no longer being able to manually move your defenders to certain areas for manual preplay defensive assignments? (The game now moves your defensive player back to where he was if you move him on your own)

Loving the demo, just beat OSU on heisman 24-21. Won on a game winning field goal with one second left and got to see the ice the kicker work. It was beautiful and really adds a degree of challenge to the game.

I'm really enjoying the demo especially on heisman difficulty. I'm playing the Virginia and Alabama matchup. I'm losing more than I'm winning. They have all been close games.

I didn't think I would like heisman, but I think this year is the way to go. I don't feel cheated at all. (not like years past) The A.I. has definitely improved.

I buy this game every year, but this is the first year I'm actually excited to get my hands on this game.

I think this years game is going to be the best game yet.

Finally downloaded and played the demo. A couple of disappointing observations:

CPU playcalling logic remains brutal, year in and year out. This is HUGE for me, since most of my games are in dynasty mode vs. the CPU. I want the CPU to play with the same presence of mind that I (usually) do.

                  * I was playing against Ohio State. With 2:01 left in the first half, OSU calls timeout. Plenty of time left, no need to burn a timeout.

                  * The hurry-up offense is out of control. The CPU can have a negative play and be left with third-and-long, yet go into hurry-up mode. Never mind if there are only two receivers on the field and it's a passing down.

                  * The commentary is the same old, same old from the past several years. If I close my eyes, I have no idea if I'm playing NCAA '14, '13, '12 or '11.

                  * I've seen it only once in one game, but I hope this isn't a throwback to earlier versions of NCAA on the PS3 in which the CPU ran fake punts regularly. OSU had fourth-and-23 and ran a pass play out of a punt formation. They came up inches short, BTW.

For the first time ever, this won't be a release-day purchase for me. I'll wait and see what average gamers here have to say.

Might be just me, but I think the fact that we are playing 3 minute quarters is not really show casing the CPU play calling logic. Might be short circuiting a bit.

The only thing I notice happended twice. I was on the 3 yd line for for 2 pts with a few seconds left and the CPU tried to ice me.

Only issue I noticed with the play calling.

I hope that one is fleshed out by the time the game comes out.

Actually, this is the first EA football demo I've had fun with for a long time.

Is it going to be possible to disable the automatic play art coming up each time your offense comes to the line? I didn't see it in settings and it is super jarring playing on the road staring at all the lines when I haven't hit the button to do it.

I've played on Heisman for years, and dominated, but just playing on varsity, my defense is getting torn apart.

If I run man, my guys get destroyed on EVERY cut a receiver makes, or the QB takes off for 20 yards, even if I have a spy. If I run zone, my guys either casually jog with a receiver and get beat, or just don't even attempt to get near the ball when it's thrown. If I blitz, the QB takes off and gets 20 yards. And no matter what, the running back just tears me up. I did engage eight with OSU (92 ranked defense) against Michigan, and the running back took it right by my defense, untouched, for a 30 yard touchdown.

Defense is super frustrating this year.

Also, I can break a kick return around the edge and past everyone, but my returner always gets run down because of the stupid new stamina system. I think the old system worked fine, but if they really wanted to implement this, it shouldn't be so profound. And it doesn't seem to affect the CPU at all.

NCAA 14 is the first one you're NOT going to buy first day? You hustlin backwards man.

Definitely agree on the commentary. I'm sure I heard that they implemented some type of new tech that allowed the commentary to branch off and be more dynamic. Wonder what happened to that? I haven't noticed anything different with the commentary.

Negative. Cant agree on that one. Feels too scripted.

Example: Until I can change ratings around, I dont know if the manual break block (right stick) is under or overpowered. Training mode didn't help AT ALL as my lineman performed swim moves automatically without me even touching the right stick.

If I never touched the stick, I should be trapped in the block indefinitely. I sat there and watched as my lineman would immediately break the block or take a bit to break the block. He was performing these moves by himself the whole time. Of course the whole point of me going into the training mode was to practice manually breaking blocks. My experience was worthless man.

I think there were a few instances where the player actually responded to my input.
