Lol - this thread started out about the Euroleague......look at the LOVE the legends are getting.

    Fantastic!

2K can take my money and so can Sony for a PS4 if MJ is back on board. Classic teams FTW!

NOW the Euro Teams look appealing if we can pit the dream team against them.

Hell, we could re-create some of the old McDonald's Championship games if we still have certain classic teams available. I remember the Celtics, Knicks, Bulls, Lakers, and Suns had some good games against the Euro teams. The NBA teams were undefeated in the McD's Championship, but the Knicks came the closest to losing, just beating a Yugoplastika Split team lead by Toni Kukoc in 1990 (first time I ever saw Kukoc and he was a beast that game).

One of the reasons my fellow Greek programmer/modder Lefteris (aka Leftos) was hired by 2k is this exactly: The addition of european teams.
I would like to see him comment here about this addition.
I guess 2k will make a new custom "Euro Sliders Set" to match the flow/pace of the european basketball. This is pretty easy : Contact inside/outside all way up to 90-100 (nearly every physical contact is a foul in Europe), game speed decreased, blocks decreased, on-ball defense increased.
Playbooks for these Euroleague teams are mostly variations of pick 'n' roll and some plays for good 3pt shooters.

Now that's a solid idea too!

I understand it was a teaser. But I also know a company would not purposfully show something if it wasn't going to be included in the game. Even though it was 2K13 footage it doesn't mention 2k13, just 2k14, and if you didn't play the previous version and just saw the teaser you would never know it was the older game, you would just take in the information you just saw.

2K are in control and know what they are doing. They wouldn't have included the things they did in the teaser if they didn't still have rights to the things in it.

Man watching those MJ highlights...I know it's against Olympiakos...but still he was sheer class. Lebron can go to sleep...MJ was definitely the best.

But i didnt play any Classic Team in NBA2K12 or NBA2K13 beacuse there's no challenge, only friendly match.
I need competition, non friendly or quicly match.
So Classic Teams have a sense if there is a challange, something like a whole 1990 playoff battle or Lakers vs Celtics Finals at the time of Magic and Larry.
But if there is no challenge, i dont like classic team.
I'd like Euroleague Team if there is a challenge like Eurolegue Final Four
Play an Association with all classic teams. Maybe sprinkle in Miami OKC etc. from current teams

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that MJ was signed to a 3 year deal to appear in 2k (2k11, 2k12, 2k13).

So last year might have been his last ?

Lebron Kobe Shaq Duncan have been in video games every year. Why is Jordan so worshipped when he has been ****ting on fans for the last 20 years?

This is amazing news! This will make the game huge in Europe. Any word on if we will ever get the D league or the WNBA?

I've seen this a lot and I just want to say that even if that was the initial contract he signed, there's no reason not to expect them to negotiate a new deal after seeing how successful the series has been since NBA 2K11. From a business perspective, it would make sense to sign a short term contract initially for both sides and then go from there.

Might have a teeny amount to do with him being....errr...i dunno....widely considered as the greatest player of all time...... 2k sales went off the CHARTS when he signed on.

                          Just a hunch.

2k most likely also gain sales cause the lack of an alternative. Just a hunch though.

uh...even if there was an alternative 2k will still outsell the competition...

not a hunch just going by history...

WNBA should not be in the game. This is NBA basketball, there would be no use for WNBA at all.
