I can guarantee that
He came into the combine at 206 pounds. That is light for a 6'7" sf, let alone a 7 foot center. He needs to put on a lot of weight, which I think he will do. He'll be able to come in and help in his first year, but he won't come in and be an extremely dominant force on the defensive end right away. The nba takes time to transition into, especially with younger bigs. Also, he won't be able to help all that much on the offensive end right away, which Davis could do.

He is not ready Offensively, but whenever his rookie yr is... This year or next. He will be a defensive presence with both active hands and blocking and rebounding. I'm telling you. Davis was only 220 last yr and was top 10 in blocks as a rook. Defense translates from College to Nba, it's the one thing that always does...

My whole posting was because you had said he was basically coming in and Dominataing on Defense and it wont happen. Now will eventually MAYBE, but as I stated Strength and Weight will STOP him from doing it in 1st few years. You called him a Top 5 Defender and he wont even be close to begin with.

Again I will reiterate what I said. Marc Gasol won defensive player of the yr. Marc Freaking Gasol. With his 2 inch vertical. Noel is already better defensively than he is... So yes I do believe if healthy noel in his 1st or 2nd yr can be a top 5 defensive big.

Nope. Noel is raw and undersized. he will easily be abused. Maybe he'll be a decent weakside shot blocker but I doubt that he's a top 10 defensive big.
