    W: 27-17 (Tennessee)
    W: 17-13 (Kentucky)

If anything, I think there has been too much good defense from what I've seen. I've been able to mix in zones, blitzes, and man and had a lot of success with it. The zones are a little too soft up the middle, but I'm hoping that can be addressed via patch or sliders.

Plus, I have been getting a huge pass rush with my front four, which is something that I've never had in a game of NCAA Football.

all our experiences will be different but the underlying issue is that cpu D is weak if you play a certain style..

in my MSU dynasty i am running a pro style offense, games are close and defense plays a factor. in my Memphis dynasty i can schedule Alabama and crush them with the spread. And if i choose to run 5 wide i can score on every possession.

you had mentioned in a post earlier people want a flawless game, no we dont but just like in basketball if shaq was shooting 5+ 3's a game, or jj reddick was dunking from the free throw line that would be an issue. thats what we have here.

when alabama has a 3rd and 17 at their own 30 and choose to throw a hailmary in the first Q.. we have a problem or a 4 vert on 3rd and goal from the 2. we have an issue.

if you are a ncaa regular you can win if you want to, by alot and there is defense in the game if you call cover 2 man all game but most of us dont want to play like that. it sucks to have 200 plays in your playbook but can only rely on 3

See, that's where things have been different for me. I'm an NCAA regular and have barely won 50% of my games, usually using a much better team than the CPU. I call zone, cover 2, pretty much everything in the playbook and have noticed several plays where calling a zone was very effective.

One thing I'll also say, is that I'm using the Zoom Camera. It makes the game surprisingly difficult from a passing point of view. You have to rely on your instincts and your ability to read the defense more than ever.

I like doing that from time to time. It keeps the game fresh, and yes, it makes passing much harder by taking away the god mode vision of the whole field.

I've kind of gotten confused as this thread went from "best ncaa ever" to "broken."

It seems like more so than ever the user is the main factor in the experience. Someone earlier said their style portrays the game as broken. So, what style is that? Shotgun running and zone defense majority? I'm just trying to stay on top of who is enjoying the game and who isn't and trying to connect the dots

There are so many triggers this year, threshold changes stuff, penalty sliders change stuff, sliders either change something or do nothing at all, game speed, it's hard to duplicate what everyone sees when we don't know exactly how they are playing.

I'm a shotgun runner, I run the multiple offense as my PB it has everyone from I-form to flex to shotgun and I don't average more than 5 yards a carry even against crap teams. I have seen some concerns with safety play in zone defense, especially cover 2, but I use cover 3" cover 4, and cover 6 quite a bit

Ha. I agree. It' s like there are thousands of different copies of the game floating around and we're all playing different ones. I too run zones. Hell, even the majority of time, and my stats are averaging up real nice like.

I think a lot of it comes down to expectations. I think some people just don't know what they REALLY expect out of a game. It's just not going to simulate real life. It's close enough for some and not close enough for others.

If you have fun playing it then great. If not then don't buy it. It's really that simple.

you can count me in the "enjoying" the game crowd. I have put up a set of sliders for AA (granted,it's based off the demo) that are currently playing pretty good for me....

I'm not seeing the issue of hum not being able to run,and the way I have my sliders,I barely have time to look deep to see if the "db glitch" is present or not.

I can say though,on the few occasions I HAVE been able to go deep,9/10 times it's incomplete...either from a breakup,or a badly overthrown ball.

I play only with my teambuilder team and I utilize a pro style offense, and 3-4 defense...I'm also using an "average joe's" roster layout for my team....and I absolutely cannot wait till tomorrow.

I would be interested to see if the biggest difference between the pro/cons is whether they played NCAA last-gen. I played 600 games on ps2 '07 and I think it's still better than '14. Is it perfect? No. But it does accurately capture the rock-paper-scissor nature of play calling; whereas in '14 you have a soggy piece of paper, nail clippers, and a bazooka. Anyway, I imagine (and obviously I'm projecting my feelings onto everyone else) that people who logged significant time last-gen are much more hostile to '14 then players who only have current gen experience.

That's exactly where I stand. I have played since the Bill Walsh days and the PS2/XBOX versions of the game are the gold standard. EA hasn't come close to replicating the core of those games. It started this generation with a crappy engine and they never fully fixed it.

Nope it really comes down to major glitches in the game that is no work around, if you like playing offline, and you dont mind tuning sliders the whole time. All I hear in most threads is games against the computer and how a slider setup can change something.

I'm a person who hates playing the CPU. I want to be in 1 Online Dynasty and play a bunch of quick rank games. So I have to play the game as is no slider adjustments and flaws shows it self when your going agsinst another smart player.

I don't quite feel the Infinity Engine like I did in Madden last year. It feels like the engine is a well refined canned animation engine. The animations are far more logical than ever.

The Flexbone and Wingbone triple option offenses function much better. I no longer feel the need to force myself to only use 6-7 of the plethora of plays (though I still do out of habit, which is getting me losses).

After playing some online games, I have only a few concerns with this game:

                                1. Zone defense is just horrendous. And on top of that, I've had so many dropped INTs. A user who is a below average passer can easily pick apart a zone defense on this game. And I'm the type who likes to switch up my defenses (man to zone, vise versa) and I can't confuse anyone. In terms of the man defense, a corner route will almost ALWAYS get open, even if you have good corners. If you add a guy doing a slant across the middle then one of those guys will be open 98% of the time.

                                2. Also, I know it has been mentioned here but the game slows down a ton at random times. There was a video someone posted earlier about the frame rate.

Really the defense is my main concern. I dont want it to be too overpowered, but right now it is just awful. I hope EA makes this their first priority when it comes to the first patch.

Offense wise I am having fun. The read option is so fun to use this year. The juke moves are awesome as well. Overall I like this game a lot. As we say almost every year at this time, this game is a few fixes away from becoming GREAT.
