Anybody else notice the CPU ALWAYS kick off, even when they win the coin toss ? Also ND helmets at night time just look ugly, as usual. During the day they look awesome, but night games, it is just awful. I also noticed the RB and FB seem to always be open when the CPU is losing the game. They just don't be open, they be WIDE OPEN as though the defenders just forgot about them.

The more I play the more I feel like this is the same old current gen EA football title. The same strategies work. I find myself getting into the same gameplay habits. I'll play it for my football itch but at this point bring on next gen Madden and the ignite engine. It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.Comment

LOL after 10 years on OS nothing changes in that department. Every release is like that but NCAA seems to be the worst at it. I knew with the demo comments about how the game was perfect that it would backlash quickly.
I'll get the game tomorrow, but I'm expecting it to be not as awesome as everyone said the first day the demo dropped, and not a game killing glitch fest either like we've been doing on here for over ten years. Hype works both ways. If you enjoy it, good enough.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Just popped in my retail version and only had to download a tuner. It was a little weird not having to put in online season pass code. Im 0-2 online. Cant stop run in 3-4. I see what guys mean by dive shoestring tackles, but to me its not as bad as people have said.Psn: Plex-07Comment

The tuner that has been downloaded for both to this point is the exact same. The release day tuners and patch are for retail only and won't go live until tonight. Retail doesn't "come" with a patch, the patch only works with retail so it hasn't released yet.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Available For Season Ticket Subscribers, Post Your Impressions H
Coming from an online perspective the offense is over powered mainly because the offensive line is over powered. You can't get any pressure on the Qb with 3 or 4 down and if you blitz get ready to get torched because the pressure ain't gone get their, add that with the fact that their are too many dropped int's and the Zone defense is horrible it's really hard to stop a good offensives player. It's obvious that the offensive line and jukes are the only aspects of the gameplay that got most of the attention everything else remains about the same. I mean the game is OK but definitely not worth $60.Comment

Dude the 3-4 is useless in this game online.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 14 Available For Season Ticket Subscribers, Post Your Impressions H
Im a big 3-4 guy though. From what Ive seen I may have to switch to 4-2-5 or 335 stack base especially since it seems 95% of playbooks has spread option. (exaggeration.... i think).Psn: Plex-07Comment

Stock zone defense is pretty much worthless in pass coverage. Sad.. Cool game otherwise. This could kill it for me though.
Also has seen a couple times, moving the rb out into the flat before the play.. no one on the defense notices and he is uncovered.Last edited by Bat; 07-08-2013, 04:22 PM.Mariners Seahawks Sonics UW Sounders

Flats are always wide open, especially if the CPU is losing. Then it becomes the RB, FB and TE left wide open in the flats.Comment

Actually, it's wrong. The penalty should be in eligible man downfield, but that penalty doesn't exist in EA footballPenalties definitely need to be addressed. I've seen a couple in my first 6-7 games, (2 offensive pass interference, one holding and a couple of false starts) but that's about it. In real life that wouldn't even be one games worth of penalties.
Anyway, on one of the offensive pass interference's I saw something that I never had seen before. I was running a WR screen. The one where the WR screen is towards the middle of the offensive line. Before the play I hot routed the WR on the other side to a streak. When the play started the WR running the screen was covered so I tossed it up to the one running the streak. He jumped up and grabbed it over the CB, but a penalty was called. I was thinking that maybe he interfered with the CB, but when the penalty came up on the screen it was pass interference on the LT. Upon further review, the Tackle was called for interference because he was blocking down-field on a forward pass. Pretty cool.

Re: NCAA Football 14 Available For Season Ticket Subscribers, Post Your Impressions H
They have all out punt block and punt block safe man backwards. When you go for the all out punt block, NOBODY gets through the CPU offensive line. However you use punt block safer man, at least 2 or 3 of your defenders come through the certain of the line, with 2 of them coming within a yard of the punter.
And if you use regular punt return, nobody gets through the CPU line at all. So why is it only on punt block safe man does your defenders get through the CPU offensive line on punts ?Comment
