I woulda thought this had my player and association written all over it. I'm sure they aren't telling everything but if the euro teams are strictly exhibition use for online offline then it ain't really that big a feature to me.
This needs to be in my player and association either u can be selected to rep the country of your my player in the off season, or players on your your association team can be selected to represent there country and you can choose to play as those teams. Or may be you stink it up in the rookie showcase game and go undrafted and the euro league is your next option.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Euroleague Q&A
I'll take that as a 'NO' then.Q: Euroleague teams feature a different atmosphere during their games. Will the atmosphere be different from the NBA experience? Will we hear team chants, see flares, etc.?
A: The Euroleague atmosphere featured in NBA 2K14 will accurately capture fans’ enthusiasm and passion for global basketball.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Euroleague Q&A
So...probably not.Q: Will we see all of the Euroleague rules implemented? What about the 3 point line? Based off of the screenshots, it appears to be inaccurate.
A: The Euroleague court in game will reflect the proper and authentic Euroleague court dimensions in the final product.
Also, on old school rules being implemented for classic teams, I think they should have it in for current team as well, because people can camp for more than 3 seconds on offense, while defensive 3 seconds in the key is punished very strictly. Just another advantage to the offense, when it doesn't need anymore.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Euroleague Q&A
When this was first announced, I had hoped that I'd be able to make a MyCareer player that started out like a Brandon Jennings or make a comeback like a Jordan Farmar instead of artificially inserting that player into the draft.
After reading this Q&A, I realize I may never touch a Euroleague team. It is really a shame, because the potential to create something 1st class is obvious yet it seems they decided the gimmicky would be enough.
This to me is about as useful as the "Dream Team" vs Today's Olympic team, and it seems the same limited thinking that went into the Olympic experience has went into the Euro-league concept.Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Euroleague Q&A
I was thinking that as well. I was really excited when the Dream Team was announced last year, but I wasn't really expecting to only be able to pit them against the current team on a fictional court without having the ability to edit anything (generic block shoes). There also was not much freedom to create our own foreign opponents for USA to face. It was basically locked in to something very controlled and limiting. As such, it turned out to be one of my biggest disappointments in 2K13 (alongside Dunk Contest and 3pt. Shootout controls and execution).
I guess the good news is at least these Euroleague teams will have proper opponents instead of having a single magical opponent from a different century.Comment

Am I misunderstanding things or is it pretty cut and dry that 2K won't have classic teams? I mean, if over 40 signed a contract with EA, then it's a foregone conclusion, don't you think?Whatever you do, don't give constructive criticism or say anything negative about Madden video games! It seems to be the equivalent of a felony...Comment

Re: NBA 2K14 Euroleague Q&A
2K has stated that classic teams are still in the game this year (their post can be found somewhere in the original Euroleague thread). Also, I'm not sure if player likeness contracts are exclusive. It may be kind of how both EA and 2K can each have contracts with the NBA Players Association, thus allowing each company to replicate all current NBA players and teams (as opposed to it being limited to one company or the other).
Edit: Here is the quote from an NBA 2K producer:
