    CPU passes too much?

Im playing my first game and the cpu has called 24 straight passes to start the game. Is this normal?

I've thought this right when I got the game as well. It all depends on the team you're playing against, really. When I played Ohio State they ran 16 times to 2 passing plays. Also depends on the state of the game. Are you ahead 2+ scores? The CPU almost always passes when it's trailing.

I actually feel its a lot more on point this yr... as far as how the cpu strategy reflects the real school/coaching staff. Like I'm coaching at houston...were throwning 40-50 times a game. Which is a realistic # for the cougs

That many straight passing plays does sound like a whole lot, but I agree with other poster who said depends on team and game situation.

Sometimes I feel like the CPU is too pass happy, but I just finished a game where Ole Miss ran the ball 36 times for 217 yards (which is the best the CPU has fared against me, and I was glad to see it actually). They only attempted 21 passes, completing 14 of those for 132 yards. The game was very tight, so they stayed committed to their ground game, which they were able to consistently move the ball against me, so my point is they never really went into the mode where they get to x number of points behind and go wild trying to pass to catch up.
