I would assume that to be the case. I don't know if they have a company that distributes like the CLC, but I guess we'll find out in time. There's still a lot to figure out before they go on with this.

That's what's happening now, I believe. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Has anybody had the thought that this is GREAT for us and College Football fans!
No more NCAA restrictions. Once EA secures it's license from teh CLC for all the teams and conferences. It can add full playoffs, have kids get into trouble off the field, suspensions.
College Football 15 could be down right amazing. The NCAA set up so many restrictions, i think this will make a better productBeavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

There's nothing to actually figure out. The NCAA didn't do anything licensing wise for any schools or conferences -- whatever agreements EA has had they still do. The only thing that changes today is that the NCAA isn't involved in the product, which is more cosmetic/superficial than anything substantive.Comment

I've been trying to figure out how likely it will be to see a lot more features added or brought back"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: NCAA Will Not Renew EA Sports Contract, NCAA Football Series is Dead in Name Only
It isn't really any more different to be honest, but with a major partner in the NCAA pulling out and with the lawsuits and EA tanking, I just don't see how this is just "business as usual." I know that if I'm one of the licensing companies or one of the individuals, I want to stay as far away from this lawsuit mess as possible. Not only that, but there's no guarentee that the prices are going to stay the same.
I know EA came out and said there would be a game next year. That's cute and all, but EA is hurting bad right now, and I don't think many people on here understand that. This is nothing but bad news for EA even though the NCAA isn't the all-in-all rights holder. It becomes a question for investors: "is EA doing the right thing by keeping this game afloat while the NCAA is ducking for cover?"
I understand people being "rah-rah!" and all, but you have to step back and look at the bigger picture. This is about more than a video game here.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks
