Don't blame EA. If I recall, back in the day, they didn't have the NCAA part of it and it was called "College Football." College Football '98, maybe? -

EA Sports only start using the NCAA Licence, because 989 Gamebreaker was the first game to use the NCAA licence.Comment

Im confused. Could the CLC be sued in the future for the same thing?Comment

Bowls are separate from the NCAA so they are likely still in. Roster share will likely still be in.Comment

Also why is the NCAA being sued if the only reason these games exist is cause of the CLC license.Comment

Probably not considering that they just deal with the licenses of the universities themselves. The NCAA is the law-giver; they are the big fish when it comes to amateur athletics.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

It's possible, but IMO win or lose after being exposed to this current lawsuit I doubt that EA will put themselves in a position of vulnerability again.....we'll have a lot of roster work to do with future releases.Comment

They are involved now and aren't getting sued. So no. They have nothing to do with the players. Only the rights to the Universities logos and stuff."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

I still have my copy of NCAA Football 98. They had a playoff option in that and I thought it was the coolest thing ever."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment
