Here's how it will play out , thinking like EA would think.


Teambuilder will be the engine for all the teams. The gamers will be creating the teams not in the game, whichever they will be, so they'll be created on Teambuilder. Probably will be a new teambuilder site they'll need to develop without the NCAA bells and whistles.

I highly doubt this. They can still owrk out a deal with the CLC


Also, the title should probably be changed to 'Next College Football Game to HAve A New Name" or something similar since some people seem to be just skimming over the headline and misunderstanding the situation.

If EA didn't need the NCAA to make a college football game, Why did they even sign an exclusive deal in the first place?

If EA didn't need the NCAA to make a college football game, Why did they even sign an exclusive deal in the first place?

Wouldn't you prefer the game to be 100% exact? That's why they did it, and they probably thought it would increase revenue.

I'm just guessing here, but most likely it was for the college basketball games. They need the license to use anything related to March Madness since the NCAA owns that name and the tournament. Oh, and the NCAA logo looks better in the football game than without it. They don't NEED the logo, but it looks more realistic to have it.

Like I've always said. Licenses are a waste of money imo.

Make a great game with a deep editor. The community is way better at keeping a game up to date anyway. Allow the community to mod, edit and shape the game. Spend that money on improving gameplay.

Now you know why people hate reporters. This game will be here next year, College Football 2015. The only thing is EA is going to save a ton on licensing fees. I just hope the universities don't buy into the hype, but if they aren't named in the lawsuits now I don't see why they would be in the future. And once glance at conference realignment over TV money shows that schools love them some easy money so I doubt any will pull out. One thing's for sure, all this doom and gloom in the news means this will be the biggest NCAA title in sales ever. Might even beat Madden for the first time.

Speaking of licensing, well not licensing but in game promotion, who noticed that Gatorade pulled out this year? Or maybe they were only in Madden. Just noticed no Gatorade logos on the water cooler and no Gatorade towels.

I think they should get Phil Steele on the staff and have him run things for how the teams are rated and so on, but they better be able to make more games after this one

i honestly am sorta worn on how "2k is supposed to make a superior football game". People see the success of one game namely nba 2k and think that if they were to put out a game it would be on a equal or better level of nba 2k. yes 2k makes a good basketball game, but i would like to see some new showings that 2k can handle a new college football game.

that being said, im holding hope that ncaa....i mean college football 15 on next gen will be good, like i seen someone say id rather have a decent college football game than no college football, i can play ncaa for hours rather than madden for 2 hrs tops

I think it's more that people still have very fond memories of 2k5, but yes, I wouldnt expect 2k to make a superior product first year back, just like nothing ever changed from 7 years ago

It's because of NFL 2k5. People remember how awesome that game was and if they can replicate it then it should be awesome.
