I kinda doubt it honestly. I never played 2k5, but I doubt they could just port it from the PS1/XBox to the 4/XB1. Plus, they probably don't even have a crew to work on a football game right now. They'd need several years, I think, to get back up to par.

Can we please change the thread title to "NCAA Football changing name to College Football"?
Pretty please?--

Does anyone know a realistic time frame for the O'Bannon suit to reach a resolution?Comment

Yeah, I think people are getting tunnel vision on ".....NCAA series is Dead......." and ignoring everything else"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Perhaps you shouldn't ask this type of question on a video game website. Maybe a law forum. :wink:Comment

Its funny that NCAA is jumping out and saying they are moving away from EA by not renewing their deal, yet http://www.gamespot.com/news/ea-agre...sivity-6388207 this happened last year. EA already agreed to let their exclusive license lapse after 2014 for at least 5 years anyway. Sure NCAA isn't giving any license, but its because they are trying to separate themselves and say look what we did in court. I doubt it will work since its been going on for too many years now.Comment

A logical business decision by the NCAA and it does seem to me that a court decision is leaning towards the players based on this news. This is gonna change a lot of things. Guys are gonna start going after that big TV money next. This is just the beginning IMO.Comment

Glad to see that we are still going to have a college football game next year. EA is actually the big winner here. NCAA 14 sales are going to go up, and they will have more creativity from now on.Comment

Guys like them make me sick! That's why it's hard for me to watch parts of the Fab Five documentary where Jalen Rose whines about not getting paid while at Michigan (well, legally anyway). You guys did get paid!!! You got a FREE education!!! Not to mention, that was in a time where you could have went straight to the pros if you wanted to get paid cash to play! And, before someone says I don't understand what it's like to be in their shoes. Yes, I do! I was an NCAA D1 athlete!!!
No matter how you view it, college sports is an investment that is in the athlete's favor! If you're not going pro, you're getting a FREE education if you were good enough to get a scholarship. That means you're technically getting paid between $5,000 - $50,000 per year depending on where you go to school (I'm sure there are some lower or higher). If you are going pro, you're expanding your brand and gaining an entire college fan base that will follow you in the pros. You think RGIII would be the NFL's darling if we didn't fall in love with him at Baylor and they didn't market the Hell out of him???
I'll stop there because I'm starting to drift off topic. I'll save that rant for another day. Point is it's people like O'Bannon that take something good that only helped make them famous & try to sabotage it.Comment
