    Pro vs One Back Playbooks

Do you prefer one over the other? I have always used Multiple or Pro but I'm starting to wonder if One Back is better.

I would really appreciate anyone's input on this one. I'm thinking of restarting my dynasty and hearing what you have to say would be very helpful. Thanks!

I prefer the one back. When I used to play with Alabama often, I would change every offense, no matter the team, to the one back. It's really simple to use and if you're new to the game (I don't know if you are) you'll like it a lot.

However being a Michigan fan and also using Michigan I can say that I like multiple the best of all
College - Michigan Wolverines & North Carolina Tar Heels
      NFL - Carolina Panthers
      MLB - Detroit Tigers
      NHL - Detroit Red Wings
NBA - Charlotte Hornets & Chicago Bulls

NCAA Football 14 - Michigan Wolverines Dynasty

2014 - 14-0, Big Ten champion, BCS National Champions (41-14 over #2 ULL)

Being an Auburn fan, I'm familiar with Al Borges too. He was one reason why we went undefeated in '04. OT: If you're a running team, use One Back. If you pass more use pro. Pro is probably also better for a balanced team since it has multiple Ace, I, and Shotgun formations.

I'm a huge Michigan fan but their playbook is too much for my western Michigan team. I will try the one back. Do you recommend Alabama or the one back playbook? Go Blue!

I prefer the one back PBs. The defense still has to respect the run out of these formations since you can line up many tight ends and still have a down field passing game. Single back offenses create match-up problems in the defense. Linebackers will often have to cover receivers in passing routes while defensive safeties are used more to come up and stop the run on the line of scrimmage.
Teams that run a single-back offense typically rely on quick receivers that run great routes, balanced tight ends (blocking/receiving), intelligent, shifty running backs, fast and intelligent offensive linemen, and a quarterback that can read defenses and make safe throws under pressure.

Is there a one back playbook that you prefer?

There are only like 4 One back playbooks. Try out all of them until you find the one you prefer.

Always preferred having a fullback lead blocking for my halfback on run plays and giving the ball to the big fella on short yardage situations! Also I love hitting them in the flats off of play action.. the defense never sees it coming!

I prefer the one back playbook. I'm a 50/50 guy on run/pass ratio, it works good for that.

I always like the Pro better, for the fact of diversity. I like putting two HBs in the backfield in the Strong, Weak, or I-forms, then using playaction/ passing plays that take advantage of the extra speed. the extra blocker is a huge plus as well.

I think I'm going to have to go back to pro. Last night I played 5 games with the one back pb and had a very hard time moving the ball. I used the genetic pro pb. Does anyone have a pro pb favorite?

Re: Pro vs One Back Playbooks

Always play as Alabama. Have for 15+ years. I've been using ACE-BIG and the one back playbook as my base for the past 10 years or so. I love it.

I use the multiple two tight end sets to move my tight ends around (formation or motion) to create mismatches both running and passing. Most running plays are zone running plays. Look for the hole or the cutback. Press the hole, one cut and get up the field. A 4 yard run is a winning play.

Make the defense respect your run game and the play-action passing game becomes pretty hard to stop. Tight ends are almost always open and you can attack the defense vertically down the field with your outside WR. Mix in quick slants, sluggos and screens to counter defensive man presses and bltizes.

dude, create your own playbook and put the plays you want in there. you aren't stuck with the pre-made books.

I like using the generic Pro style playbook. The fullback makes a huge difference when running the ball and i like to keep as balanced between the run/pass. Pro also has alot of short to medium pass plays that seem to work really well against most defenses.
