Somthing Odd

Was playing through the Weekly Challenges the past couple of days. I only have a 82 rated team, so I'm not all that good.

Played the Virginia game and it took me a couple tries to win that one. Hard to control Vick. Same with the Virginia Tech game, took me a couple tries to win that one.

Just played the All ESPN Texas game. I won on the first try 14-0. Could have been higher, but had a couple picks in the red zone. Playing with the WSU Air Raid offense.

I held Texas to a total of 10 offensive yards. 29 yards passing and -19 yards rushing. Could have been less because McCoy completed a 15 yard pass with a minute left in the game.

I blitzed just a couple times and mostly played a cover 2 or 3 or a 2 man under. My D-line has just mid 80's players.

Just seems odd that I had a good challenge with the Virgina games but totally wiped the board with the Texas game.

Any given saturday.

All I could really add. Sometimes its just a team not showing up or perhaps they did show up. Adds to the unpredictability of each game for you

i think the state of virginia has some better players in this game than texas. maybe you just defend better against an offense with colt mccoy than a offense led by vick. Id rather play against McCoy than Vick myself

That's what I was thinking. I could barely, if at all, stop Vick. Between the read option and Vick scrambling when under pressure, I couldn't get a good game plan going for stopping him. Also, The two Virginia teams were breaking tackles left and right. I would think I have someone stopped and they would break out and have a 10 yard gain.

This doesn't really apply, but maybe someone will benefit from it. I didn't realize until yesterday that there are TWO sets of weekly solo challenges. A Tuesday series and a Sunday series. I had no idea. So maybe someone else is in the same boat. Hope this helps somebody.

yea they added the sunday challenge list sunday... we need more solos... sometimes i wanna just play the computer and not have to deal with online cheese

I also had a couple games that played out completely different vs the same team. I don't remember which level, but it was against BC & Manning was the qb. First game the offense was more option, and Manning was unstoppable as a runner...which I couldn't believe. Lost that game on some freak Tarkenton scramble he did & threw for a TD w/ no time on the clock. Cheap. Retry vs the same team & he stayed in the pocket as you'd expect....won easily. Makes me think there is something going on behind the scenes to keep it challenging?

Also thought it was strange the reward for goes basically in order of Silver Pack, Varsity Pack, Gold Pack. Not that Silver or Varsity are worth anything...but the order seemed odd.

I was kinda disappointed in the Gold Pack that I got. One gold player, a 86 DE and then the rest of the cards were injury or game extenders. My current Dline is all mid 80s now, so I will just put him in reserves.

How do you see the two different weekly challenges? I just see the one that ended today.

If they're both up, just use LT (on xbox) and it will bring up the drop down. Same on all the other tabs too. If it ended, it might only show the current one for the time being. At work now so I don't know.
