    Price Fixing

I've been noticing a trend with the higher price / more rare cards that I really don't like. People are snatching up all available cards, then putting 'em back up at high prices.... the low amount of available cards is why this is happening. I know people like to flip cards (I do this too) but the fact one person can hoard the same card kills it. EA Sports should find a way to fix this. Allow only one duplicate of a card for example. This hurts people that are just trying to get a card on auction, since they need to pay a premium for players that should be going for much less. ok rant over

It's not really a problem since this market moves very slow compared to FUT or even MUT, people get impatient and undercut. If a card you want is higher than normal, just wait till peak hours of the day when more get listed and prices are cheaper or wait till they release promo packs.
    Example:
LEG E George was selling earlier today around 12k on ps3, now he's up above 20k because it's late at night and not many are listed, tomorrow afternoon I bet he'll be back down under 15k.

i've played other ultimate teams... i traded like nuts on fifa for a week and a half and made over a million. But reasonable value was closer during trading. You have to mimic the market and respect it. On this game (never played MUT) you can BE the market. Don't like it. Just saying

FUT also has god knows how many more players than this. Not to mention FUT made a market for bronze and silver players buy having different tournaments/seasons that you could play in with only those level players.

that's a point i make though. the low abundance of cards makes this too easy for people with large wallets to create monopolies. Oh well

very true.... tiered solo and h2h challenges would have been awesome. multiple squads as well. Would have made for some really fun games

the only market is 90+ cards right now. If EA would do something like that or release more collections that weren't awful reward wise that would help the market. There are so many cards right now that have no value.

This is more like "cornering the market"

Its actually a great strategy and I wish I had the coins and time to do it on NCAA. If I had the web app, I would. I saw someone cornered the market on Willie Floyd's on psn Auction hosue... lowest i see is like 40K lol...

Its a smooth strategy cause ultimately its the buyers decision to buy whatever they want, EA should not have to regulate that. Something is worth what you feel it is worth, there isnt a regulation system that determines what price something should be. Its what you want to pay for it.

Anyhow, it can also be risky on NCAA UT cause you are charged like 500 coins everytime you list a rare card so if you cant flip at a certain price point, you are prob gonna chew up a loss. Fifa UT yoiu are only charged if something sells

Actually, it could be people are doing like I am. I'm holding on to a lot of cards simply b/c I'm hoping that EA releases actual collections at some point like MUT & I'll have a bunch of cards ready to go.

Yeah, I'll sell some if I don't need them, but I'm hoping I'll have a good % of collection pieces to start with (if any are ever released).

I have been holding onto my cards as well and only getting rid of doubles, but that is because I like collecting as is. This is my first Ultimate Team, what did the MAdden collections offer a player?

Well, they had a ton of different sets to collect, but some of them became ridiculous to complete. However, I got a lot of them done just by playing & auctioning without spending money. Team collections, stadiums, positions, holidays, pro bowl, etc, etc.

NCAA has a ton of potential as far as collections go, so let's hope they do something with it.

One thing I hope they change if collections start coming out are the values of collections. They made some cards so rare that trying to collect a 10,000 reward collection would cost you 300,000 coins to finish.

I have a bad feeling that if we don't see many collections by the time Madden comes out, then NCAA UT is getting the shaft & most UT resources will go to that.
