    weedboy,

The Japanese definitely made the best wrestling games to this point. The KOC games were definitely some of the deepest and best wrestling games ever. There's also the Firepro series. The programmable logic options for the wrestlers in them was insane.

Yes sir. I still play both on my pc with pcsx in 1080p and they look good enough for me to still hold out on these new games.

I just cant take these wwe games seriously. For one anyone who does not turn off slow motion finishers is an idiot and should'nt be involved in discussions about improving the game. We should not have to adjust stats and pay a dollar to do so at that. They are speeding up game play when it is way too fast to begin with. There is no match pacing or ring psychology by the ai in any shape form or fashion. I dont want to do strike combos in my matches, I would like a little back and forth alot of 2.9 counts and a sense that I can actually lose if I don"t play hard. I don't want to fill a meter to get a finisher making every match so predictable. I don't want to set house rules either to enjoy myself.

Here is an example of what i want. I was playing a game of fire pro as kurt angle on cpu level 8 in fire pro. My opponent is jeff hardy and he was really putting it to me. 15 minutes in and I still did not land a successful move and i was worried because in story line kurt was due for a title shot and should have squashed this guy. Low and behold after landing a ddt on me he goes up on the top turnbuckle and decides to taunt before attempting a diving splash. Well I was able to roll away and he fell flat. I quickly stood up and pressed circle at his legs for a angle lock and thank god I got a fuc@#n
critical. Just like on tv a guy can get his *** kicked and still weasel out a win. In this game a small package is as deadly as an f5 if you make your character correctly.

        That's awesome.

I've always loved the Ukemi setting in the logic. It helps account for how babyfaces traditionally do their thing. Take a bunch of punishment from the heel before 'becoming a house of fire'.

That and when they added to ability to connect moves together.

They are definitely the best wrestling games I ever played. had a match in fire pro last night where myself being the eliminators defended their titles against the dudley boys. 18 minutes into a solid match all 4 guys start brawling on the outside and bam 3d critical on kronus who was not the legal man. I tried valiantly for the next 20 minutes but whenever I had a guy in trouble they would break up the pin. eventually i ended up getting 3d and pinned losing the belts. Now with kronus injured for a month with a broken neck how does saturn go against tonite's match against the gangsta's alone.

The one thing I miss from this series, is the amazing finishers that THQ used such as the Steiner Screwdriver, I keep on hoping that they'll bring that back. I'm actually interested in this Game, but I think it'll be much more improved when WWE 2K15 comes out....2K is always good when it comes to making sports games

The graphics look like complete crap... the Warrior is so stiff it almost looks like something that should be on Jaguar or Dreamcast...
