Madden NFL 25 Clutch Players Revealed

I think its way too many people. Plus, just like with their ratings Madden seems to never let go of previous star players or players who were hurt the previous year.

I think it took them like 3/4 years to finally make Chris Johnson below 90.

I would remove:

All Linemen - not sure how they are clutch
Jones Drew
Weddle
Tebow
Woodson (Loved him as a player, but he was barely signed this off-season)
Holmes
Mannigham
Steve Smith
Bailey (still decent Cb, but past his prime)

No Luck is ridiculous. One of the most clutch seasons ever last year, but Manningham makes it after 1 catch.

Clutch - Tending to be successful in tense or critical situations.

Tim Tebow has 7 4th quarter/OT comebacks/game winning drives in his SHORT career as a STARTER. I think people are blind to their hatred or just don't understand what clutch actually is.

Tebow was HUGELY clutch against Miami. Not only did he score the game saving touchdown, but he ran in the game tying 2pt conversation.

Tebow led the Broncos down the field on a 95 yard touchdown drive against the Jets. Finished off by his 20+ yard touchdown run.

He also had comebacks/game winning drives against Texans, Chargers, Vikings, Bears and the Steelers.

Just because he sat on the bench last season doesn't mean he lost his clutch factor. That is ridiculous to think someone loses his clutch factor sitting on the bench for a season. Tebow has been clutch his entire career. I doubt sitting on the bench one season made him lose his clutch factor. So before you say someone is or isn't clutch. You have to understand what clutch actually is.

When did i say Tim Tebow wasn't clutch? I just don't believe a third string quarterback, who didn't play last year, deserves an attribute on Madden that will make him superior to others when there are other players who actually get PT deserve it and haven't been recognized.

The real issue is how the Clutch rating is activated.

For some reason being down 7 points with 3 minutes remaining doesn't mean clutch players step up but exactly 1 minute later they all of a sudden understand the situation and step up and become godly?

The feature is broken. It should be something that is attributed to a player after a string of clutch performances, used to help teams determine their overall worth to the team.

QBs are way too overpowered when given the clutch rating. It literally affects almost every player on their team for the better. Meanwhile other clutch players are only gradually improved.

Also, having 'clutch' but no 'choke artist' rating imbalances the game. There needs to be an opposite for the same reasons the clutch rating is in the game.

Personally though, I don't believe a trait such as clutch should have such a drastic effect because clutch is attributed to playoff games, OT, final drives, 3rd and 4th downs etc. etc.

To have the clutch rating only activate itself within 2 minutes, it misses the point and is yet another 'gloss' addition that can be used for marketing purposes.

Seriously? No Andrew Luck? Dude tied the record for most game-winning drives for a rookie and was one of the top QB's in the league in that category. I know I'm biased, but this is a joke..

How has Tony Romo ruined the Cowboys chances for a championship individually? The whole team ruined their chances for a championship not just Romo. Romo has been above average the last few seasons. I don't think the Cowboys would do any better with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Jerry Jones is the REAL person who ruined the Cowboys superbowl chances not Romo

I understand why people want to throw Romo under the bus but the struggles of the Cowboys is not something I say is directly his fault. I blame Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett before I blame Tony Romo for anything Cowboys related. Romo is a good QB, probably not capable of winning the big one but who knows, he hasn't been put in that position yet. The Cowboys never run the ball, they depend too much on Jason Witten {should've resigned L. Robinson to have a reliable #3 WR}, fired Bob Ryan for no reason, not only did you fire him but you bring in a has-been defensive coordinator in Monty Kiffin, I repeat they never run the ball, they don't know how to draft properly, have yet to address the offensive line in any serious fashion since forever... if you want to keep it all the way real, I see no difference between Matt Ryan and Tony Romo. The only difference is Jerry Jones.

When the Cowboys have been successful, Jerry Jones (though calling the shots) wasn't calling the shots. Jimmy Johnson was the man, we got rid of him, and Jerry hires these kiss-*** coaches who do whatever he says... Barry Switzer (won the SB his first year but to me that's Jimmy's ring) Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, and what's this... we have success with a tough no-nonsense coach in Bill Parcells, we made the playoffs with Quincy Carter come on man... I don't know what really happened between he and Parcells but I'm sure Jerry must've used that, "this is my team" card somewhere. Romo was brought in under Parcells, just remember that. After Parcells leaves and takes half the team with him, more kiss-*** coaches in Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. There are three common denominators since that last Super Bowl, the jerseys, the star and Jerry Jones. Since 1997 the Cowboys are 123-124 (record is a few games off since that stat was shown of Week 9 of this past season) with one playoff victory. If we want to sit here and blame Tony Romo for that, then be my guest, but just remember that when a team in any sport win's a championship, it's start from the top of the organization.

Ok but at the same time, if they have freakin Mario manningham on this list, you could add the 2nd best rusher in the nfl

2nd best rusher nothing he has done nothing to be cluth talent doesnt matter for this all manningham does is make big plays which is why hes on the list learn what clutch is

Imo, every team should have a clutch player. Every team has at least one player they will go to when they need that big play at the end of the game.

Even the worst teams in the league have that one go to player they count on. Holmes/Jets before he was injured, Bowe or Charles/Chiefs, fitz/Cards, or Stevie Johnson/Bills
