    The great Steve Novak

Just played a online game and ran into the fabled "Steve Novak" who procedded to single handily put my team in the ground. No matter who I had or whether he was shooting while running it simply went in. I think I will be trading in my Nba 2k real soon...

yea players set there feet at lighting quick speed so anyone with a good 3 point rating can just turbo around in circles and stop on a dime for a 3 and the game will recognize it as a stand still three. Its really annoying.

I play with guys who will literally run away until they get open and fire up a 3, and feel good about it.

Damn shame this game takes no skill.

Steve Novak being ridiculously overpowered? Surely not...

Lmao it's disgusting that the fadeaway three is one of the most efficient shots in MyTeam.

Of course. Off topic, but IRL Novak did drop 17 against the Heat, I think.

Did you adapt on defense? Did you tell your players to "play tight" or "deny ball"?

Most of the time people who complain about this sort of things haven't properly adapted on defense and instead blame the game.

That's because most people mistakenly expect this game to play like a simulation online.

But saying/doing this ignores the real issue which is players setting their feet too quickly or at least the game counting them as set. Players can run in circles, stop on a dime and the game registers it as a wide open set shot. Maybe if they have it register as a running jumper and add some leaning animations these situations will play out better.

At the end if the day I would tweak the settings like you but would like to see the unrealistic movement fixed.

Noble notion, very bootstraps of you, but surely you've noticed that when a shooter runs in circles they inevitably gain space on any defender. It's worse on ball, since you will make a false move, but the AI also will give up a lot of space around the "seams" at 3 and 9 O clock (with top of the key being 12) All you can do is call a double team, then defenders tend to stay close but then you're double teaming steve novak/ mario chalmers/ jodie meeks while they literally run in circles and at that point wouldn't sticking cutlery in your eye be more fun?

Those options don't work half the time. You tell it to do something and it does the opposite. The options are for the ai not for man defense against players running in circles with Melo, Novak..etc

Exactly! I hate it when you put on-ball: Play Tight & off-ball: Play Tight and STILL they sag off. Plus the settings have nothing to do with YOU, the player's on ball defense, which is what most of us play when this crap happens.
