    Cost of Game Center Live?

I just read this on a redirect to ways to watch streaming sports on this site:

    7-ways-to-watch-live-sports-without-cable

    They indicate:

    NHL Game Center LIVE
Hockey fans can watch live broadcasts of every out-of-market game on smartphones, tablets, and some TV-connected devices throughout the entire season for about $80 per year, plus replays of in-market games available for view the next day. It's not a perfect solution for ice fans, but it's far more affordable than the other leagues' streaming passes.

    True?

Wasn't it discounted this year because of the lockout? Maybe that's the quoted price.
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

You're probably right. I saw after I posted that that it was as low as $50. The whole package shouldn't be more than MLB's regardless. $99 would be fair, especially w/o playoffs.

NHL Game Center LIVE is $20 a month for a regular season that is 82 games. October-June is how long you are billed. This past season was $25 for the whole season since it was only half. It's not a bad deal, but it is kinda pricey. I like having it but I would only buy it if you are an avid hockey fan that can/wants to watch any game, or you don't live where your favorite team plays.

Gamecenter live was $160-$170 before this season. It was $50 this year at the discount. It is comparable to League Pass broadband in price. Why they charge so much more than MLB, I don't know. If it were closer to $100, I'd consider it next year. If it goes back to the ~$160 range, I'll pass. MLB gets me twice as many games for $130 (though I remember when that one was closer to $100 as well).

Maybe they have a source for next season's price, or maybe they are assuming $50 for 48 games pro-rated to 82 games is... $85. Pretty sure it'll go back to the regular price.

I LOVE when the NHL listens to me!

edit: errrr, wait.... I'm seeing $149 and possibly $135 if you use your Discover card. Where did you see $100?

It's $100 here in the UK and by the looks of the rest of the world but US and Canada is more expensive.

I wasn't going to get it this year but seeing as there is there is no way for me to watch on TV and it's a better price than I was expecting i'm now considering it.
