    Wyoming Dynasty Year 6

In the BIG12 Championship game, #1 Wyoming defeated #3 Texas 42-21 in one of the most unbelievable games of the season. There weren't any records broken, but it seemed like every drive something amazing happened for the Cowboys. In fact, the top 3 catches of the season, maybe even my entire dynasty, all happened in this 1 game.

QB #88 Frank Powell (Pictured) won player of the game with 6 total touchdowns, which certainly helped his chances of winning the Heisman Trophy. He threw 4 touchdown passes and rushed for 2. WR #10 Leon Robbins (Pictured) caught 2 TDs, WR #82 Mario Bradley (Pictured) caught 6 passes for 134 yards receiving and 1 TD. HB #37 Andy Bell had a solid game with 88 rushing yards.

Texas's QB Jamal Shelby had a great game with 300+ yards passing and 3 TDs, but the 3 interceptions he threw really hurt the Longhorns. WR Anthony Scruggs caught 4 passes for 174 yards and 2 TDs, and was really the only one who made any big plays for Texas.

I decided to break down each of the spectacular catches.. enjoy!

First.. there was the greatest interception I have ever seen.. by SS #35 Joe Jacobs. Those of you who have been following my dynasty may have gotten familiar with this guy by now, he is often featured in my pictures. This was his greatest play of the season..

The QB for Texas threw up a deep ball to the wide receiver running a streak but it was horribly overthrown. I was about to set my controller down to get a drink from my soda while I watch the in-between play cut-scenes when suddenly I witnessed the greatest interception of my entire dynasty. He actually fell into the wide receiver and rolled onto the ground after he caught it, which was pretty cool.

The next amazing catch was by WR #10 Leon Robbins. It was 3rd and goal at the 5 yard line.. I saw Robbin's lined up on the right against Texas's impact player cornerback. Having faith in my star receiver, I hot routed to a fade and hoped Robbin's could use his 6'4 200lb frame to win the jump ball. I wasn't disappointed.

Robbin's made a near superhuman leap and somehow came down with the pass. I was in shock, I had never seen a player jump so high. I think he actually got elevated a little by the cornerback's shoulder pushing him higher into the air.

The next one was by WR #81 Terrence Wright, who is used to making spectacular catches. This one was probably his best yet.

The pass was behind him but Wright managed to contort his body and reach back to catch the ball with 1 hand. It reminded me of Calvin Johnson's famous catch.

After the victory, #1 Wyoming (12-0) has punched a ticket to the BCS National Championship Game for the 2nd season in a row. But who would they be playing?

#2 North Carolina fell to #24 Clemson in overtime of the ACC championship game. #4 Michigan lost to #9 Wisconson in the BIG10 championship game. #15 San Diego State defeated #7 Utah State in the MWC championship game. #6 LSU defeated South Carolina in the SEC championship game.

In the end, it was the #5 (9-3) Florida Gators who moved up to the #2 spot and will be facing the heavily favored #1 (13-0) Wyoming Cowboys in the BCS National Championship. These 2 teams are somewhat familiar with each other, having faced twice throughout the dynasty, splitting the games 1 a piece. In year 2 Florida beat Wyoming in the Sugar Bowl, but Wyoming got their revenge the next season.

    As for the Heisman Race..

Frank 'Boom Boom' Powell has won the Heisman Trophy!

What a close finish it was.. as he barely edged out San Diego State's QB. As I predicted, Notre Dame's QB was hurt by the lack of a conference championship game to play in.

    The stage is set!

    Stay tuned folks!

So I'm on the road at Virginia Tech, back and forth game, and VT is driving late in the 4th for the win. I'm up 36-35. About 1:00 minute to go, VT executes an excellent play fake and Logan Thomas rolls right and releases a perfect throw to the TE. the ball is tipped at the one and Trey Boston makes a diving interception in the end zone to seal the Carolina victory!

        Or so it seems....

After the cutscene the announcer goes into some diatribe about the danger of throwing it out of your own endzone and then the scoreboard pops up.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I just created a playbook with something very specific in mind. Running the no-huddle with no option plays and being able to run every formation in the book without worrying about personnel changes.

I came up with a playbook without TEs or Fullbacks. Most 4 WR, a couple with 2 HB. The focus is on spreading the defense out to create lanes for the runningback. Because of this I only used under center/pistol formations, then included shotgun formations where the HB was offset so he could be coming downhill on the handoff.

Now to pick a 1* school to start off at as an OC with my playbook.

Dominick Bellini New Offensive Coordinator at Louisiana Tech

                      Coaching Philosophy:

Offensively a brand new approach to the game. Bellini brings his own playbook that does not include any formation with a TE or FB. On top of that he also refuses to use any formation where the HB lines up equal to or in front of the QB. (Most shotgun formations.) With this playbook the approach is to spread out the defense and then run it right down their throats until they adjust, then take advantage of the multiple WRs always in the game and beat teams with speed if they bring in extra backers.

(I'll be doing this coach mode and just seeing what kind of job offers I can get along the way.)

Louisiana Tech 2013 Offense Key Players:

JR(RS) QB #16 Scotty Young (79)- Young is a perfect fit for the Bellini spread offense. He is a pure pocket passer and will fit in nicely to this new spread offense. He will only be asked to throw the ball and hand the ball off. He understands the offense and will need to be accurate if he wants to help this team win.

SO HB #28 Keneth Dixon (86)- Dixon will be the focal point of this offense. The multiple WR sets will allow him 5 and 6 man fronts to work against all season long. He should find plenty of running room.

SR(RS) WR #5 DJ Banks (81)- Banks will be a key on the outside to force defenses to respect the multiple WR looks. If him and the other WRs can prove to be true threats in the passing game Dixon will see plenty of running room.

The first game for Louisiana Tech will be a road game at NC State.

                          Georgia State Survives Slugfest

The experts predicted a defensive struggle between Georgia State and LSU, but they got the opposite, as both teams racked up significant yardage. Georgia State eventually prevailed 49-39, but the game came down to the final minute. Early on we swapped touchdowns back and forth, me first after getting the opening kickoff, until Junior quarterback Anthony Woods threw another back interception. We managed to gain some momentum back, as Tim Whitaker (pictured) hauled in an improbable touchdown catch over the LSU defender with seconds left in the half to knot the score at 21.

In the second half we held them to a field goal and marched down the field ourselves for another touchdown. After that, we managed to force a punt for the only time all game, and Chris Black (pictured) made a breakaway reception to put us up 10. Black had another great game, catching 5 passes for 129 yards and that touchdown. LSU never gave up on the back of Junior QB Hayden Rettig, who finished the game 26-35 for 383 yards and 4 TD's. With 2:32 left in the game they had just punched it in again to make the game 42-39 and, like Notre Dame, chose to rely on their defense stopping me. For the second time this season, Peyton Barber finished off the drive with key first downs, and eventually a touchdown to add to his 242 yards on the ground. On the crucial 3rd and 6, Barber made a crucial cut (pictured) to elude a defender and the hole opened up, as he scampered 39 yards to seal the victory.

Woods finished the game 11-19 for 186 yards and 4 TD's with the 1 INT. Tight End Mike Heurerman had only two receptions, but they were both for touchdowns. Defensively, stud middle line backer Nick Dawson-Brents had 10 tackles, including 3 for a loss, but it was a lackluster performance from the secondary that kept things close.

Next week, we travel to Kinnick Stadium to face the unranked Iowa Hawkeyes who boast a 16 game winning streak at home. It is a homecoming of sorts for me, I attend a private college in Iowa currently and am a Hawkeye fan in real life. Hopefully the homecoming sees us continue our ascent up the polls, as we're already up to #17.

                              MATCHUP PREVIEW VS CHATTANOOGA MOCS
                              By Brock Silvers

Georgia State seeks to start the season 2-0 as they face off against Chattanooga in The Georgia Dome. Due to licencing agreement we are not able to do in depth about Chattanooga so instead we will discuss the keys for the Panthers to win the game.

                              OFFENSE

The offense will need to cut down on their turnovers in this game. Hopefully OC Matt Crock has been able to improve the decision making of his quarterbacks. If the offense can do a little better in the passing game and the running game is as effective as it was last game The Panthers should be able to pull out the win.

                              DEFENSE

The defense played very well in the first game of the season. One concern is the passing defense. Hopefully DC Minter has addressed this issue either by better coverage or by scheming better pash rushes.

                              OUTCOME

I predict another win for Georgia State. I think this game The Panthers will play a better and cut down on the turnovers resulting in a win and 2-0 start for the season!!

As all ways we will have the box score for you once the game goes final!

Week 2 2013- Louisiana Tech 48 at FCS SE 14 (La Tech OC, Coach Mode.)

-The Bulldogs improve to 1-1 after a slow start against FCS competition. The passing game in the rain never caught on and once Coach Bellini gave up on the pass the Bulldogs rolled to 376 yards rushing on 47 carries and ended up winning this game easily.
