Who's Going to Declare?

Hi all,

Which underclassmen would you say are most likely to declare this year? That you'd be legitimately shocked if they didn't declare, assuming they're not injured etc?

I love NCAA14, but it seems like the better a player is, the LESS likely they are to declare. I think it's a problem with the projected draft system. If an undergrad is projected to be a first rounder, they aren't allowed to declare. They don't even have to be talked out of declaring...they never even think about trying it. Even though rsSO will declare for the 7th round, a rsJR won't declare for the 1st round.

So I'm making a work around. Right before advancing to the offseason, I'll change anyone who should declare into a senior.

But I don't know the real world NCAA all that well. So who would you say are definite to early-declare in your view, barring tragedy?

TL;DR Who will declare early for this year's draft in the real world?

Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville. He will earn his degree in December, so there is little incentive for him to back for his Senior season.

I've been having the same issue as the OP. Seemed like none of the players that should declare were declaring. Clowney, Lee, Manziel never declared even after having monster seasons in my dynasties. I noticed that a lot of mid 80s players were declaring though.

Just about 10 mins ago I decided to do a test. End of the bowl season I simmed to players leaving and once again, none of the above 3 declared. I reloaded that dynasty file then went to the rosters and edited those players overalls to the mid to late 80s. I sim to the players declaring and sure enough, 2 of the 3 declared.

It seems the game has enough 1st rounders for the seniors, so they keep high rated underclassman from declaring. But they need lower rated guys to fill out the rest of the draft so that's why you'll see a 85 overall DE leave early while a 95 rated DE will stay.

So I think I'm going to edit the overalls right after bowl season from now on. I save the draft classes for Madden so I'll have to re-edit them when it's time to draft...but I would be doing that anyways so no harm.

Word. It's one reason I have to get him out of my dynasty. Can't see him staying all 4 years.

You will have to edit them in the roster before you start a dynasty cuz u cant edit players class in dynasty
