    Wide Receiver for Heisman?

Has anyone managed to win the Heisman with a wide receiver? I think it's obvious that this year it is much easier to win it with a mobile QB but it's not impossible to win it with a RB. But I have never seen a WR in the running, has anyone else seen this happen?

You'd probably have to get about 2,000 yards and 30 TDs to even be considered in the game.. I can't say I've noticed it, at all.

I have yet to see a WR in the running for the Heisman. I will be really testing this out next season in my Wyoming dynasty.. where I plan to throw to my 6'4 225lb 99 speed 99 acceleration 99 spectacular catch wide receiver 'until he throws up'.

A wide receiver shouldn't win it. The only one ever to do it was Tim Brown and he did a little bit of everything receiving, rushing and returning.

So to get in this game you would probably need some seriously monster numbers receiving and hopefully a few kick/punt returns to earn it.

I have one game left in the season and my WR as most Yards, Catches and TDs of any WR.
            108 catches
            17 TDs
            2000 yards

Not even a finalist and have never been mentioned.

Just to clarify, I actually meant 3,000 receiving yards, not 2,000.

Well I am an idiot. Can't believe I forgot about Desmond Howard as a Michigan fan, still he was also a beast return man so receiving stats alone wouldn't/shouldn't do it because the QB is getting all those stats as well.

I won the Heisman with Sam Hurd and Northern Illinois in NCAA 2006. Totally serious.

I remember winning the heisman in an OD with Dez Bryant in NCAA 10 I think it was. Dude was a monster, and thats probably the single most dominant player/team I've ever had in a dynasty in that OK State team. But back on topic, in 14 so far I haven't seen a WR in the running.

I won the Heisman 10, 11, or 12 with a wide reciever on FSU- I'd have to check my console history. Dude was a monster- he out ran everyone, and he could take a hit and hold onto the ball. I just threw it up to him.

I finished 2nd the first year (his junior year), and won it his senior year. My QB was also one of the finalists obviously.

I recreated the Marshall team with Randy Moss on it and he broke the NCAA record for practically everything as a WR. I'd have to look it up but I know he had over 30 TDs and over 3000 yards. He was the front runner for the heisman going into the last week but ended up finishing second by a good margin.

actually just shut down my PS3 before my bowl game and I didn't even realize my WR was in the running but he won the heisman.

Just over 1,200 receiving yards, over 1,000 combined return yards, 15 rushing yards, 22 total touchdowns.

The only chance really is either break like every record, or have a really good season receiving and returning.

Johnny Rodgers won as a wide receiver, too but he was also a beast of a return man!
