I dont put 35 players on my recruiting board. I usually put around 18-20 solid players that I want. Like I'm in week 15 in this dynasty and I have like 3 commits and 14 players left on my board with Indiana. I have maxed out every player but one on my board with 500 points. I just dont get why I'm doing so bad.

Being last in the nation in recruiting
I'm in 3 online dynasties and in each one of them I am undefeated. However at the end of the season I'm always doing terrible in recruiting. I know how to recruit, that's not the problem. I've played NCAA since 02. But I think my strategy that I use every year is worthless this year.

Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
How are you selecting the players you are recruiting? The CPU always puts max points into the players they are recruiting, so it is very difficult to catch up when you fall behind. Strart with 10-15 recruits that like you and are in your pipeline.
Later in the season, find the gems that aren't being recruited by other schools and try to break in. -
Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
What I do is go through each position during the pre season and see who is interested. If I find a 4 star (or better) that is interested I automatically add him to my board. Then I see who else is interested. I do that for every position.
I add about 5 or 6 players DURING the season due to players not being interested or committing elsewhere. Those players are the ones who arent getting looked at by anyone.Comment

It won't matter if they're interested if your bonus points are 200 while the other guys on his board have 400 bonus points.Favorite Teams:

Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
You're doing it wrong. Can have a quality recruiting class by just going after the 3 star players that go unrecruited. Exploit this flaw in the gameOS Red Zone

Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
It's more of just me going for quality over quantity I guess. And I wouldn't consider that a "flaw" since you're adding depth to your team.Comment

Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
You need a healthy mixture of quality and quantity. And it's a flaw b/c the game made other schools recruiting logic so bad that I can sign a 79 ovr 3 star WR and be the only team to offer him a scholarship all year.OS Red Zone

I go max between 12 and 15 recruits each season and fare well. I even managed to pull a Top 10 draft class taking over a 73-ranked Tulane team. Once I get a few commitments, I go back into the recruiting pool and pull guys that are 15-18% locked with zero or one scholarship offers and end up getting at least a couple of those.I'm in 3 online dynasties and in each one of them I am undefeated. Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
put 35 on your board. week 1 look at the top schools, if you are first and want the player, put max on that player, everyone else gets 5.
week 2, look at top schools again. look at the plus or minus from the week. if you can make up that difference, keep the player, if you can't, dump the player. fill up your board each week with players who are low on percentage locked. give them 5 points, again, if you are the only team the following week to gain points, keep him. rinse repeat
ive never ranked lower than the 30's. once you get up there in recruiting this method is basically slam dunk. if you are having problems, target athletes. I find certain positions like high overall TE's are really hard to land without having the CPU in the middle of it. the key is to get the guy to commit before they get involved. I usually will schedule my visits around week 9-11, scheduling a rival if I can around those weeks. If I have a guy above 80 percent locked though, I will have him visit earlier in order to close him out and free up points.
imo, you really can't lose if you do the above.360-Chiefs-)Comment

Re: Being last in the nation in recruiting
I start with players who have my school in their top ten from the beginning.
From there i target 10 or so, but have about 15 on my recruiting board. Also, i offer a scholarship to everyone week 1 and go from there. Its week 10 in my dynasty i've already signed half of my board, im using Kentucky(2-star program) and I'm 4-4.Comment

Don't recruit the way you could in '13. In last years version you could pretty much just pick the players you wanted if you were a 6- star school. Doesn't work that way in this version. You can only afford to battle on a handful of players and then you gotta find the ones that aren't being recruitedComment
