Microsoft already stated they'd be launching in November though, I can't see Sony launching too much after that. Call of Duty is dropping on Nov 5, so my guess is either that week or a week after.

Its a different Sony this time around, they are hitting all the right notes and their allotments of their console is supposed to be 3x's that of MS and they already been approved thru the FCC this early in the game.

All signs so far are pointing too Sony launching first and end of OCT.

I hope so, cant wait, tired of this generation already!

nope only thing that transfer over is your MUT team.

I do believe they did say they would be announcing some more ways to ease the transition from current to next-gen at Gamescom, so it's possible there will actually be a franchise save transfer, possibly via cloud storage? Hard to say. It's unlikely but still remotely possible.

I would love it if the PS4 released that early. I'm sick of this generation too, but I just don't see it. I'd love to be wrong tho.

As it has been mentioned before along these boards. The Next Gen Madden 25 Practice field AP vid is such an old beta build look at the CPU programming details within the video, You can tell that build is probably as sturdy 40% finished product tops is my guestimate. Either way it's foolish to think you'd see any of those on screen displays on a finished game

Maybe so...but there is NOTHING next-gen about that video.
It's running a new engine and even at 40% you should see a difference.

The whole x% thing is getting out of hand as well. I fully expect the final version to look more or less like this.

I have a feeling in my gut that Sony will launch end of October. There are a lot of rumors pointing that Microsoft is having serious manufacturing difficulties...while everything out of the Sony camp is 100% positive.

I wouldn't be holding out for a next gen game that will likely be Madden 25 lite. It's taken them 8 years to get things in the game that were already there on the original Xbox and PS2.

And not even all the features of those games will be in Madden 25 i.e. changing weather, radio show etc.

I'm considering getting Madden 25 on current gen...simply because I just can't see what the point will be holding out for a game that IMO will be 95% the same on next gen bar better graphics.

Maybe I should just skip this year and enjoy Diablo 3, GTA 5, NFS Rivals and NBA 2k14 till the end of the year and think about Madden next season.

I can't imagine anyone with a next gen console buying the 360 version no matter how much they market the game.

I just hope it's a worthy game seeing its on the latest console and the 25th edition.

A lot of caveats to that, including a $15 membership fee to their stupid rewards program. So it's really a $35 credit which is what you'd normally get for a newer trade in anyway.

Unless you're a powerups member, then it's $50 credit, which I would assume most people who buy games regularly at Gamestop are.

i hate to bust peoples bubble , but just because a game is coming out oct 29th, does not , in anyway ,shape , or form , meant the next gen consoles are coming out then. i mean just look at madden, its a bundle package for ps4..... but its not coming out the day the game is aug 27th. also , im just not sure why people think it would be out in oct, when they said "holidays" was the release time. so mid nov at best . its pretty clear just because a game is coming out, doesnt insure the next gen console is coming out then also. that being said, it cant come soon enough. i want to see more gameplay on next gen other than ap running the ball. its going to be a long wait i feel....

Terrible example, current gen Madden is coming out on Aug 27th. We are talking next gen here.

The regular season will be half over when the consoles launch. There is no December launch, both consoles will be out a week before black friday at minimum.

Half of Novemeber+All of December+All of January = a lot of football still to be played when it launches. Not to mention outside of the august launch week this period in the year is where the largest spike of Madden sales happen.

Pure football fans are sure to buy it for both. Not many football fans can go 3 months without having a new madden game to go with the season.

I'm as pure a football fan as you can get, but I'm also smart, and I won't be buying this recycled game now when I know I have a Ps4 pre order down. . .there is honestly no reason to buy this game twice.
