I said it earlier in the thread:

It's the first news regarding gameplay, and it was released as a single, solitary piece of news. I don't think saying that 2K is treating it like a "feature" is much of a stretch, especially when the thread title has the word "Features" in it, and it's being touted as a whole new engine/system, and just a slight tweak.
