OK after playing a couple of games (both on all-madden) I want to give a quick rundown of my pros and cons.

Pros:
- CPU AI is better. I felt like they were just smarter overall and actually capable of scoring points.
- The games felt competitive.
- I lost both games (I think I lost one game in Madden 13).
- The Packers passed a lot, where as the 49ers ran more. Not sure if it is a coincidence.
- Player control feels great.
- The commentary sounded improved.
- Blocking was improved.
- Hit sticks felt satisfying.
- I threw intercepts that were not ridiculous.
- The scores felt realistic

Cons:
- Could still exploit the defence with streaks on the outside when they are in zone.
- CPU completion percentages were too high (around 90% both games).
- Too many injuries (and I was one of the people advocating for more injuries).
- I had Lamichael James stiff-arm and truck two defenders in the one play.

Ultimately this did what every demo should do. It made me excited for the game.

Another quick note, the skills trainer was working for me. Had a message before each playing saying to do a move, I would do it and it would work.

From the sound of it strike 2 for EA. NHL is becoming the only hope left. Then I spend the season with the show. Even though it is a demo and will be improved on, aren't demos supposed to make most people want the game? Not bring attention to the gliches bugs and other issues ignored.

Few things ive noticed

Turned off all ballhawk and heat seeker and I just cannot get in position to make a tackle. Defensive player movement feels real "loose".

The stop and go move is too powerful. Hit LT the RT and its a guaranteed missed tackle.

Overall the game feels good to me when putting it on slow speed.

As long as they don't have the psycho defensive back play like they do on NCAA 14 I'm good. I tend not to gripe alot about things in a game, but that's one thing I truly hate.

Did you play on All-Pro at all? Curious to see the differences between All-Pro and All-Madden.

No, last year I found the game too easy so I wanted to make sure all-madden was actually hard this year (it was). I'll give all-pro a go tomorrow (it is midnight over here).

An important note to remember for anyone who is yet to play the demo. It takes a while to get use to the new player movement. However once you are use to it, it is a million times better.

Just wanted to confirm that the skills trainer is broken. They do not get you the prompts/tutorial I have seen in youtube videos. So you can do whatever move to to the endzone but you will fail. I randomly passed 2 out of 4. It is suppose to say, Do a stiffarm. You do a stiffarm. Pass.

Moving on to a game now.

since the read option and spread option will be used a lot in madden 25 do they have adjustment to counter it like ncaa 14?

These impressions are such a letdown, even people making positive comments seem to be trying hard to like it...I'll definitely try it myself but sounds like it's back to back to waiting and hoping for next year.

Not sure why they every got rid of coaching options in Madden.. its a part of real football.

Anyway, are defensive assignments back?

Can we still shade a specific receiver inside or out if playing man?

Well said. I wish I could just jump in and recoginize whats good and different about it. Ill admit I am pre programmed to be negative towards anything Madden after the last 7 years. And yes, I only spent a few minutes with it, it just felt like ho-hum same ole same ole. Anyone who is enjoying this more power to you, and Im very jealous!

We NEED consecutive hit tackling. It kills me when a guy is stumbling and I can't clean him up. Same thing with guys engaged in stuff arm animations.

We also need a reach tackle button. If a runner has one blocker out in front that guy negates the defender every single time. The blocker pancakes the defender, engages him, or gets beat. No matter what happens the defender is out of position and can't even attempt to make a play. When a defender is engaged with a blocker id like to see him stick his arm out or try to leap at a ball carrier.
