I stuck my Teambuilder team into the dynasty for some small school in C-USA. After some shuffling, my team is in the Mountain West and my only rival is a school across the country. Can I eventually develop rivalries with teams I play against a lot/in my conference?

Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
Can teams - specifically Teambuilder teams - develop rivalries over the course of a dynasty?

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
No you cant unfortunately. I have made up rivalrys though with Boise State and Texas in my Wyoming dynasty (currently in year 8). Its a shame they aren't treated as official rivalry games but its still pretty neat to pretend. -

I'm pretty sure you can make in conference rivalies happen in the offseason. At least you could in last years version.Looking for more NCAA Strategies? Are you a redditor? Check out the NCAA Strategy subreddit.Comment

At the end of the season, go into custom conferences and I think you can change the rivalry games. Can teams - specifically Teambuilder teams - develop rivalries over the course of a dynasty?

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
Those are "protected rivalries" though. Meaning you those two teams play each other every season despite not being in the same division. I don't think that would necessarily make it an official rivalry game though.----------------------

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
The protected matchups are just cross division matches that will happen every year they aren't official rivalries and wont show up as a rivalry game or count as a rivalry game on your records.Born and Raised in Wisconsin

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
When you switch your teambuilder team with an actual team, you take that teams rivals. So if you want to have Illinois, Penn State, and Michigan as rivals, switch your teambuilder team with Ohio State.
I have a list of all the teams and their rivals. I still have to check some but it's mostly accurate.Comment

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
Yea it's a bummer that these can't be somehow edited. Really sucks when changing up conferences and a team leaves all their rivalries behind.
And I hate the teams that only have like 1 rivalry too. In one of my dynasties I took over as Northwesterns coach and then ended up stopping playing. I couldn't get over the fact that Illini was their only rivalry and I could only schedule recruits to visit for a rivalry game every other season since it would be an away game every other yearComment

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
I've been searching rivalries and just randomly finding some rivalry games. This is the list so far. I'm going to go through and check these games tomorrow to make sure they all work. This list should help when deciding which team to switch with when importing teambuilder. I've also used it to rearrange conferences and keep "protected rivalry" games actual rivalries.Comment

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
They should really add Oregon and Stanford to the list after the last couple of years. It would be sweet if the did some DLC for new rivalries.Comment

Re: Developing Rivalries in Dynasty
In my unconn dynasty I moved them to the ACC after a few great years. Me and GT go at it all the time in the conference games. There the game I circle on the calendar each year. It would be cool if they did something like if you play 3-5 really close , nail bitter games , it would make you rivals because it happens in real life all the time. I generally like to move around conferences so out of conference rivals play each other each year. Like I moved army to the AAC so they played against Rutgers and ucf. Having 3 "knight" teams in the conference is really fun. Thinking of renaming the divisions knights and bishops.Comment
