Some good improvements to player control and collisions, but the same issues persist.

For example, hit a TE on a corner vs a 2 Deep Safety, but lead him low outside so he flattens out, the CPU Safety ALWAYS takes a step straight down ruining any angle he has and you can gain tonnes of YAC. The Safety should be coming at you at an angle to take out your legs, instead you get way too much time and space to move the ball. Sloppy. Unintelligent.

No point in going through it all, I didn't expect it to get that much better this gen anyways. I'm good with the improvement we got I guess.

I'm wondering how people are making snap judgments about the game based solely on a pretty limited demo. Too early to pass judgment until the retail version drops but if people want to talk themselves out of or into the purchase based on the demo that's on them.

Not sure what people were expecting it to be.

main thing is people are worried about those bad glitches. Disappearing players is something that is borderline absurdly unacceptable for the PS3 guys. I'd be really pissed if I played that and had that happen. Bugs like that can't be overlooked, and with EA, I'd say there is a chance it's in the final build. NCAA had bugs on that was demo and they were intact in the final game.

The whole point of a demo is to help make up gamers minds as to whether or not they should buy a game.

For the most part, Madden Demos have played very similar to the retail version. Plus as someone else mentioned you play the demo to see if it warrants a purchase.

I agree Madden demos play 99% the same as the retail.

This wasn't the case last year which is why I am a little hesitant.

I think demo's can help consumers decide if a game warrants a purchase but in a limited demo and considering there are 32 NFL teams and only a few are represented in the demo and the differing style teams play, people wanting to play with their favorite team, etc. the demo could influence their purchase but I don't think it should necessarily be the deciding factor.

Considering some of the players in the demo who have since been injured it's hard to know what build of the game the demo came from. I look at demo's as tools but I must disagree that Madden demo's play to 99% of the retail version.

I'm just loving the smarter CPU AI.

With 5 seconds left before half, Wilson kneels with the ball. Also, saw Wilson scramble and make a pass.

5 seconds left in the game, Seahawks winning 3-0, Wilson took a knee.

With adjusted sliders, this game plays nice.

If you don't move the sliders off default, this turns into a different game and not for the good.

One thing i noticed when watching the owner mode video is that they had the patriots captains wearing the C patch designating who is a captain. However the patriots have never worn those patches.

My third post about the Demo.
its mostly con's. personally, as far as gameplay wise, I don't feel that the game offers enough new features or change to warrant a purchase.

The new defensive adjustments at the line of scrimmage offered a lot of potential. However, the user will in all likely-hood have issues making these adjustments on the fly, because the AI/controlled team never runs clock or take their time to audible etc. The most defensive adjustments Ive been able to make is just the typical guess run left, run right, pass etc. and tight coverage, but there are so much more adjustments one could make. Again, the pace that the CPU/Ai controlled teams use make it impossible.

EA's CPU/AI clock management has always been horrible and now they really stand out.

The IE has been cleaned up, but last years version had more umphh too it, despite all the weird tackles.

                          Where are the penalties
                          QB's are too efficient.
Commentary, From what I can tell, not that much of an improvement from last year.
                          wont comment about sidelines, etc.
crowd/stadiums seemed livelier in last years version.

the demo should have offered us more camera angles.

Maybe the be a owner mode will be the saving grace for this title.

I believe that the budget for Madden probably went into the next gen version. They just cleaned up the IE in this version.

Im on the fence with a purchase. I may just play Madden13, or get my fix with 2k.

not bashing EA, IM just saying.

My suggestions would be to take accelerated clock off and you will have plenty of time making decision. I was able to choose run or pass, coverage audiable, LB's shift, DL shift and edge rush all before the CPU hiked the ball.

Two, play around with sliders. I lowered QBA to 20, upped coverage and reaction to 60 and it lowered compleation %'s. I'v seen swatted passes, coverage hits, and over thrown passes and passes that go no where because of pressure.

                            Just some healthy suggestions.

So youre saying if you play default all-pro, its a different game than if you make some slider adjustments. Not disagreeing , just wondering. I'll give it a try when I get home.

What slider adjustments have you made?
