Who is an OG or should I say who is an OM

I was jousting reading about madden 25 and was thinking how far they have came. I remember back in the day playing the original madden when I was 13. So I just want to know how many of us late 30 and up guys out there still have played all the maddens or what year of madden you remember staring with. You youngster and join in to.

I'm 24, I started playing Madden with 04. I actually started playing Madden before following NFL and learnt the rules that way.

I've probably played them all. To be honest, I thought Madden was pretty overrated in the early days. I loved Tecmo Bowl, then Tecmo Super Bowl then Sega's NFL 94.

Sega's NFL 95 was a big disappointment to me, and that's when I really started paying attention to Madden.

I can still remember the first time I ever played Madden(or the Sega Genesis for that matter) it was Christmas Eve 1990 and my buddy had gotten a Genesis and Madden for an early Christmas present, he called me over and I was blown away. Up to that point the ONLY game was Tecmo Bowl for NES, but Madden was just so much better. Needless to say I went out and got a genesis and Madden the day after Christmas, I bought every Madden after that day one religiously for years, breaking the string in 95, we all know why. For the next several years I was a "Gameday" guy until 99 where I went back to Madden, and stayed.

Been playing since the first one on Genesis. But didn't get to into it until college and Madden on the PlayStation 1 (96). I was a tecmo Superbowl fan forever. In fact I still play now and then ( both regular and updated rosters. I loved the season mode with stats. Once I got into Madden at college I never looked back except for a few 2k years.

I started with Tecmo Bowl, and eventually played all of the old (terrible) football games in that time period. I remember some kind of John Elway game that was incredibly bad.

When the Genesis was introduced, I went to the Joe Montana games. My god..those were awesome games. I also enjoyed the Quarterback Club games, and, of course, Gameday 98 on the Playstation. The NFL2K brand of football has been by far my favorite along the way, but I have played every Madden along the way.

I started with RealSports football on the Atari 2600. Then I played 4th and inches and Touchdown Football on the PC and PC jr. I got the very first Madden which was released in 1988 on the Apple 2e when I was 12 years old. I then got it for Sega Genesis and I was hopelessly addicted.

I played EVERY game after that, including QB club, Troy Aikmen Football, Gameday, Joe Montana, etc. etc. Once 2k football came out and I got exposed to that I never looked back. Bought my last Madden in 2002 and didn't buy it again until I got a used copy for 2011 when i wanted to get back into league play.

Started w/ Tecmo Bowl on NES and whatever the name of the football game for the Sega was w/ Montana on the cover. Didn't start playing Madden till 98 and didn't really enjoy it until 2002 w/ Culpepper on the cover.

Only current gen maddens I've owned were 09 and 12. Really liking the demo so will probably pick it up at some point

I think I have owned and played almost every football game made from Atari up. Tecmo Super Bowl is still a favorite. NES Play Action football had some fun parts, but it took like 12 seconds off the clock for a player to run 5 yards. There were some weird ones in there too. Mike Ditka or Jerry Glanville had one where there were brawls and obstacles on the field. There was some robot half football game too. But, if it said football I bought it.

Started on '94. Had every game on SNES/N64 up until 2000, then switched off to PC until '08. PS3 since.

Started with Madden 92/93. Became hardcore Madden player when I bought Madden 2001 on PS2. Bought every madden since. Favorite Maddens are '03, '04, '07(last gen), and '13.
