Sony is just as much to blame for this as EA is guys, they have to pass it through Sony to get it approved first. People who are not getting the game because of this already being fixed make no sense. AJ even confirmed it will be fixed in the Season Ticket version next Friday.

Come on Josh... This is just not even remotely true no matter how you try to spin this. Bugs happen, yes. However, if they simply tested the demo on a PS3, they would have seen this. TONS of people ran into this issue in less than a full day. This has nothing to do with Sony. When you release software, it has to at least basically work. Same crap last year with the countless bugs in CCM mode. It ruined alot of leagues. Some serious issues with the code at times. Not much you can do now but fix it, but in all honesty, this really is not acceptable.

OK, well what the certification process is for is NOT to test your code for you. It's to make sure you have not used any undocumented or private APIs, that you haven't written any malicious code that could bring down the console, and that you conformed to their best practices. If you have an iPhone or iPad, then you are already doing the same thing there. EVERY app that gets to the apple store has to go through this certification process. Your app could crash often or not work, but as long as it doesn't break any rules, you are ok to publish.

So far this demo has done nothing but disappoint me. I've played two halves and have seen nothing that would make me want to buy this version. I've also been sacked by an invisible clay Matthews, intercepted by an invisible corner back and scored on by an invisible torrey Smith. Guess I'll be waiting for the next gen version after all.

This is my biggest issue with games in general these days. This issue happened to me after the 1st quarter, of my 1st game on the demo...I come on here and there are already dozens of people posting about the problem. It's not like it took serious user tampering to make this happen. Games like COD I understand when multiplayer glitches and exploits pop up, because you have millions of people going out of their way to find this stuff. You can only test for so many possibilities before the game is released to the masses.

But really? If I play a demo on single player for 10 minutes and find an issue...I would expect that said issue doesn't make it into the final version of a game. Just ridiculous that it would make it through.

If the NBA live 14 demo had this happen.. people would boycott the game. Ea does this with madden and we have no alternative. It's a shame

Like I said though Sony had to have missed it too. It doesn't exist on Xbox and Sony had to pass this demo through certification before they gave EA an approval. Sony could have easily sent it back when they saw disappearing players.

Now Jp im use to you taking up for this game, but this is a new low for you. theirs no way you can make an legitimate excuse for this. Like Sony really cares if a game has bugs, it would be even more of a fuss if people didn't get the demo especially since 360 users got theirs. I thought it was just a PS3 demo bug, kinda scary to find out it's in the final product.

its funny that all of the major glitches in madden didnt come until the next gen when xbox became the flagship for madden. when sony was the flagship there were less problems and the game was less arcade like. but starting with madden06 the gameplay changed to arcade style. take madden back to the madden05 days where there were fewere gltches and less arcade gameplay

We are still here bubba and EA isnt perfect never claimed to be, its a company a work place unforssen things will happen every year, everyday, im just happy there is a demo and its not 3 min 2 teams no sound, yeah the bug sucks but at everyones jobs things happen pizza hut somehow ran out of dough by my house the other day. Amazon sent my package to the wrong city with the same name as mine, i dont get on a forum an gripe and moan it happens calm down. Long as there going to fix it cool no worries. Ill still be playing next friday son!

Im shocked this glitch made it past testers to be in the demo, and even more shocked its gonna be in the final build.

I only played two games of the demo, and in both games the players disappeared for entire drives- it was always the CPU on defense

I agree with those who say that knowingly releasing the game with vanishing players is unacceptable, mainly because of the people who don't have internet connection.

Almost all the games nowdays are released with lots of bugs and fixex later. We, as consumer, have lost.
