    Recommended year?

Which NCAA football game would you guys recommend? I haven't played NCAA football since like 07 and I want to get back into it. I basically only play offline dynasty and I normally play every game, so the gameplay is also important.

Basically I am asking which year of NCAA football you would recommend for a offline dynasty mode player since I have no idea what the differences are between the years and I can't seem to find any sort of distinction online between them.

    Thanks.

NCAA 14. The recruiting is simple and fast compared to previous versions, coach skills makes things interesting, (Or too easy, depending on how you look at it) and the gameplay is really fun. They've improved on the in-game commentary and presentation, which, IMO makes this the best NCAA game since 2006.

I'm loving NCAA 14. Like you I am an offline dynasty only player who plays every game so all I care about is how the game plays and the depth of the dynasty mode. NCAA 14 has some real depth in the dynasty mode. The gameplay is not that bad if you read a few of the slider threads. That is what I did to create my own set so the game plays the way I want it to.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative then I always loved NCAA 09 while other hated it. The "wide open" game play offered a degree of difficulty I had not experienced in my 11 years of NCAA games.

If you have not played an NCAA game since 07 then you will love any of the newer NCAA games. I would spend the money on NCAA 14 because it is just hard for me to put down right now.
Relax, it's just a video game!

'14 is the best so far -- a few issues but overall is an improvement over all the other years.

If you must go to an older title, '11 would probably get my vote. Wasnt a buggy glitch fest (12), wasnt all offense (09) and was more than a roster update from the previous year (10,13)

12 actually had the best presentation and signature intro's, my favorite of all time.

I have actually grown to prefer the pregame intros of NCAA14

they get me pumped up for the game, which the other games intros did not

and how can you say that 12 had the best presentation? Didn't studio updates make its first appearance in 13? That's a huge presentation booster.

NCAA 14 is the best becasue of the new game engane and quicker recruiting.

However, if you are looking for a cheaper option, NCAA 11 is what I recommend. NCAA 11 (the one with Tebow on the cover) is the 1st game that has the current dynasty setup. by that, I mean the setup of the menu and how you navigate through dynasty. It also has great gameplay.

14 is the best in my opinion and I've played every game since 02

                        Re: Recommended year?

I've only played 12, 13 and 14. While I'm very critical of this year's version, I will say that the speed of navigating through menus alone puts this game above the other two. And I'm not referring to the Windows 8 style menus, I mean that when you scroll through your recruits, it doesn't take 3-6 seconds to load their stats. The gameplay of the previous versions trumps 14 at the moment, but when/if they put out a major fix patch, it will be superior in that category as well.

But if I want to be entirely honest, I would say I had more fun with the older versions of the game, namely '04-'07. It could be because I was younger and didn't know any better, but it seemed like they were still trying back then. Plus, back then, a company couldn't release a broken game and patch it after the fact; it had to work from the get-go. But one of these days I'll put that theory to the test by plugging NCAA 05 back in. Hope this helps!

13 and 12 were so bad IMO that I have to say 14. All though I cannot stand that they basically took out full custom team entrances. Maybe if your lucky you'll see a glimpse of your teams special entrance in the silly pre game show from the future.
