PLEASE dismiss those pointless celebrity based teams. Just getting rid of that team and replacing it with a true classic team would give us more content for the classics. celebrities are entertainers, not basketball players. nobody wants to dominate with justin bieber and Pauly D, come on.

Haven't you followed RayRay? He's trying to make a UBR-roster for Xbox/PS3. Not really 260+ Teams but, 30 NBA Teams, all Classic Teams edited, and adding the most requested from his Super 80s (80+ Classic Teams) Ultimate 1990s, and Best of 2Ks roster.
I don't think 2K will do a roster like UBR, since the amount of art is over a GB, maybe 2. And the $$$ involved.

I appreciate the work on the consoles but its no comparison and the ubr had like what 3 or 400 teams total.

Re: Classic Teams Return to NBA 2K14
I highly doubt it but as I said, they can for the consoles at least give enough empty CAP spots and a better much much better CAP system than whats there.
Come on I mean what team has a giant letter for a logo?
Backbreaker allowed a logo maker and people made logos for the entire NFL. Why can't we be given the tools to create real uniforms in that manner?
Its just too many things on the console that come out looking bootleg that makes the experience feel a bit cheated, and this mode hasn't really improved much at all in YEARS.Comment

I consider the closest people in 2K that can do player customization is Yukes, from Paint Tool, actual custom colors, I think if 2K took some elements from the WWE team's customization, mods wouldn't be needed. I find the Numerical Face Sliders with a bunch of sets in WWE is more effective then the stick formation in NBA (except Nose, in WWE, all CAW noses are the same style, or at least, when I use it.)
Also taking elements from EA with Gameface, and their own old games, the face combiner from the early 2K6-7 era for draft classes wasn't bad, and the court editor/team editor in CHoops2K8 is also a good one to have, for the courts/team accessories that need a change in shade or the floor Lane lines, no need to make a new floor or team colors unless it was like the Staple Center with the Lakers where everything was revamped.
Court Creator would be cool, especially seen how R4zor did it, just have a certain picture be a dimension, and just upload to the Servers, the game makes the court in game, adds it to your HDD, and you get to select it any time any where. That would also help modders.

You mean court creator like they had in the old College Hoops games?
That's what im saying, that stuff was in back on the orginal xbox and ps2 right?
I mean honestly, its about time... btw, I think I was the biggest fan of Portland Blazers work on here from the beginning until he stopped working on consoles. Whatever happened to him?Comment

Re: Classic Teams Return to NBA 2K14
nope. F 2k and F jay z. i played the demo 1 time and didnt like the presentation. the few gameplay tweeks were cool. really like the idea of play calling with the kinect but i was just starting to enjoy 2k12 after working for so long on rosters. too many things ive read about the game that kept me from getting it. maybe when i get a new pc ill get the pc version, who knows.Comment

Re: Classic Teams Return to NBA 2K14
I'd even be willing to pay a few dollars for each additional team. For example:, say they had the 2000 Raptors for download on PSN for like $ 2.99....I'd buy that.
Or they could even bunch teams together and have little retro download packs of 2 or 3 teams each.Comment

Re: Classic Teams Return to NBA 2K14
I think there's quite a few teams like that where it'd only seem to take one more small nudge to bring another incredible team to life. Well, perhaps I'll fall short of calling the 2000 Raptors incredible, but I feel like the reward (i.e. the amount of people who'd enjoy using a VC/T-Mac combo) may far outweigh the risk (throwing existing players onto a team, altering their attributes, creating court art for an arena already included).Comment

Re: Classic Teams Return to NBA 2K14
I know I always say this, but you know the cool thing about that 2000 Raptors team specifically in its relation to 2K? Eight of those players are already in the game (if counting Dee Brown from the Legends Showcase in 2K12). The jerseys are also already in the game. All that'd really be needed to bring that squad to life would be their 2000 court art and maybe Antonio Davis and Alvin Williams if we were lucky.
