because you shouldn't be buying a 60 dollar game just on one mode..what if one game has other things that is alot more interesting or better then one plus that one mode that you may be leaving from the game your use too..so if you leave that one game for the other..at least you still got that mode that your use to plus the new things that caught your eye...thats how market your items that your trying to sell when you know you got competition -
ok then give it time but why are you going so hard on game that haven't come out yet, or even showed anything yet that matter..can judge something you don't see...if judging from the past i understand but they don't have different ppl working on the game this year and brought back some ppl who made the games that did actually came out in the past when they was on it..so it wouldn't be fear to judge these ppl since they wasn't on those games that failedAnd let's be honest, can anyone really be hyped for Live 14 at this point?? What exactly do we know and what have we seen?? For all of the faults 2k may have, at least we have a recent basketball experience in hand, that has pushed some things forward. I'm not a fan boy either, just the facts. If Live 14 really had things that were going to blow us away, I think they would be out there to reverse the damage that was done with two failed launches of the title. Even with this announcement of the career mode, there wasn't a trailer or anything. A typed press release and a picture and people are excited?? Do I want Live 14 to be awesome, of course I do, I love basketball. Is a CG video and some words on paper worth $60?? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! EA has EARNED the right of us being skeptics until completely proven otherwise in my opinion. If they drop an awesome gameplay video today and some features 2k doesn't have, I will be running to reserve it.Comment

that point is EA is starting over, they said this plenty of times already..they know they lost alot of fan base over the years..so right now they just showed the ppl who is on the fence that they won't be missing one of the popular modes if they play Live this year..its not big deal to some cause they looking for something new which is fine but it is nice knowing that your not going to missing a mode that the other game has, this is only point of them showing this not to be saying o our game is better..now when they show things that the other company doesn't have thats when that type of mind set kicks in "o we got this and this is why you should by out game"....this mode just to kinda make ppl feel comfortable knowing that won't be missing this mode if they want to try live periodSkopin that is true, they may. But my point is the press release doesn't address or introduce anything new that 2k isn't doing, so why get excited?? Right now they're basically saying, we haven't gotten basketball right in years, but this fall we'll be attempting to duplicate what the champ has already perfected. I just don't get the cause for excitement. Fooled me once with Elite and even second time with Live 13, not anymore.Comment

LOL at the pettiness in this thread. People can't even be constructive or speculate as to what EA's Career mode could bring to the table.
I get the feeling a lot of people who posted in here aren't even looking forward to what Live brings to the table, but rather waiting for the opportunity to nitpick and/or find reasons to justify why they put their money in 2K's pockets.Comment

lol i agree some of the people on this thread might be like that...but if you look all my comments i'm not one them..i grew up on EA its almost in my blood lol...i only know 2k because that deal they had back in the day where you cld get their games for $19 dollars so i would buy both games..since then i played both but besides that EA is what i knowLOL at the pettiness in this thread. People can't even be constructive or speculate as to what EA's Career mode could bring to the table.

Pettiness?? The whole point of my threads is Live announced essentially we're copying the current My Player and people are talking about how exciting that is and how they can't wait to cop it. I'm sitting there like "am I missing something, why all the excitement?". That's it!! No pettiness here. I can't believe Live has regressed so much that people get excited over a CG video and just announcements in writing. Since we've had similar before and no product, you think everyone would be waiting until a full gameplay video is supplied and hands on impressions are positive before any excitement surfaces. I would love to play 2 great bball games, but I don't get how this announcement could be perceived as anything more than a yawn, unless you just want to see EA/Live back for reasons bigger than just the game.LOL at the pettiness in this thread. Its actually people who don't care about 2k as well as Live. Why do it matter what excites other people? Why even try to destroy other people excitement? Thats like you telling me not to marry my wife because you dont like her.Pettiness?? And on the other hand you got people dogging Live and saying they are copying 2Ks career mode with no real info on it.Pettiness?? well said my friend! just look at how they mocked the kyrie double dribble as if it was 5-on-5 game play.its sad to see some of the hatred sometimes. i'm a big nba live fan who has bought the last 4 installments of 2k just to see if i can switch over but i just can't!LOL at the pettiness in this thread. 2k10 was the first my player and it was very solidHand Down,Man DownComment

No it really wasn't. It was good and a good sign of the future bug it had some major flaws. Like how your teammates played. It was totally different from the way your teammates in normal games played.

you do realize that EA has career modes in football soccer and hockey right? so saying their copying 2k is irrelevantHand Down,Man DownComment

Re: EA Sports Announces Rising Star, Career Mode For NBA Live 14
it was solid for the first one, you had to know how to somewhat play or you were heading to the d league. as for the teammates it's been the same on the restHand Down,Man DownComment

Re: EA Sports Announces Rising Star, Career Mode For NBA Live 14
it's worse imo, because they took away the summer league and training camp. if EA is going the same route it won't be as fun
then if you are a top pick why are you coming off the bench it's so many things wrong with my player nowHand Down,Man DownComment
