I hate how dark and foggy dome games are in MAdden.

I guess I have talked myself into being completely against Madden because so many things irk me, lol. I stopped watching at around 9:37 when Jason Witten undercuts the LB to attack the ball yet it goes through his hands to the LB directly behind him, for an INT. C'mon man, lol.

Also the INT before that where Miles Austin just stands there with his hands up to catch while the DB directly in front of him gets the pick.

Maybe these are the kind of things the improved AI for the new consoles can change in Madden.

On a positive note though, I did notice quite a few multiple defender tackles, so that was nice.

I'm worryingly seeing some of the horrendous DB play from NCAA 14 in this video. The TE flag route is still money against man too I see.

Now if it happens 3-4 times a game thats an issue. I think you have talked your self into looking at things in the negative form first in madden.

Madden has issues, dont know if those plays are an issue to me. I would have more issue if he snatched the ball EVERY time after that quick burst attacking the ball.

It's a joke how the receivers never know how to attack the ball and just stand there and wait, unless they're running in stride.

I too am concerned about the NCAA 14 DB AI on display where they struggle covering WR's after a cut is made.

I can respect the bold and you very well could be right, also I agree that Witten just going around the defender to make that catch would have been a bad thing. That said I think what bothered me most about the play wasn't the ball going through Witten's hands, so much as it resulting in an INT to the LB directly behind him. Meaning if that played out on an actual NFL field, I would have expected there to be much more interaction between the two fighting for the football, instead of neither seeming to be aware of the other, if you know what I mean.

After playing Madden this entire gen, what essentially happens is that Witten and the LB seem to switch animations on the play, with Witten becoming the defender and the LB the receiver, resulting in the animation we have all seen before where the ball goes through the hands of the defender to the receiver. Which is ironic because I have longed advocated for the receiver to be capable of "becoming the defender", triggering defender animations but for breaking up potential INTs.

It's cool if you have no idea what I'm talking about though and I can completely understand how it seems like I am just hating for hating sake. For me it's just the smoke and mirrors of this game have worn so thin that I immediately look for the "wires".

Let me start off by saying that I haven't played the demo yet. As a long time madden fan I love seeing the CPU not getting stopped in the backfield on every run. That was so damn frustrating last year. It also looks like the CPU offensive play calling is smarter too. Saw some nice PA throws to Jason Witten. Which as a die hard redskins fan makes me cringe even writing that. I do see some bad DB AI but hopefully the sliders can help eliminate some of that. Pretty pumped to get off work and play some madden! What difficulty was he playing on?

But I can respect the fact you still don't like domes. (Neither do I, BTW) Football is made to play in the elements!
