Formation subs not included AGAIN!!

This is a total joke!

Why are they not included? It was always going to be too much to expect an option to set these out of the game but why wont they save after you make the changes in the first game?

This was in Madden 12 - i am not aware that on these forums or through the game changes that there was a big swell of opinion to have this removed so why have they done it?

Can anyway think of sensible reasons why they dont save? - would it cause bugs/glitches??

I'm still playing Madden 12 and, once you make your subs after 1st game, they stick.

Who the heck would want to have to burn a time out each and every game to make sub changes? I agree, makes no sense. Pretty big oversight.

They no longer carry over week to week even in offline?

During the first quarter you take the time and make a couple adjustments and make sure you pick a play with at least 10 seconds left on play clock. No timeout needed.

this is so stupid and really bothers me - the NFL is all about match ups. I dont see how having this save after one game would create any bugs or glitches.

any chance they will patch this in?

I have tried several different ways. ALL CHANGES NADE IN GAME don't save no matter what....

Yeah that sucks. No idea why they took that out. I worked last year and for the past 3 years.

I actually like that they changed this. Still would prefer they had a separate menu in the roster menu outside of the game but most of the subs I end up using are available through the packages.

Why would you like that? I would love if they had a menu too but they dont and havent added one. So now we have to reinput formation subs EVERY GAME in our franchises.

Just boggles my mind how they don't have formation subs like NCAA. Would solve EVERY issue with RB/DL rotations without relying on auto subs which just don't work as they should and honestly have never worked as they should.

For instance. I have fatigue at 65 and RB out at 82.... I can run the ball with him over and over and over and he just does not come out. When he does, my backup MIGHT get a carry before he is right back in.

If you set fatigue at say 75.... After 5-7 plays you start seeing a WR corp of all TE/RB... Very frustrating.

I like it because I remember putting a player in a position and then that player being stuck there, regardless of the depth chart for as long as that player was on my team with the only way to change it was putting another player there and locking them into that spot.

Thank you for starting the thread and making me aware. It drove me completely nuts last year. Every single game, Id have to make the same adjustments - putting a certain DE at DT in nickle and dime, putting in a different LB in nickle, putting a starting WR in the slot in some formations, putting a bigger RB in short yardage, ect ect ect.

Why take this out after it had been in the game for eons?

Of all the major sports franchises, I really think EA football pays the least attention to player feedback.

They are being honest at least when they claim to have a 3 year plan. The problem is that they seemingly ignore what the community wants and do what they want. If we are lucky formation subs will return in year 3 of their plan and then they can tout how well they listen to the community
