I missed out on a game winning touchdown...nobody is catching Ted Ginn from behind once he has a step on you.

Just pure BS. Jones runs 50 yards, engages in a block, gets off the block, and runs down an Olympic track athlete from behind.

      Sounds legit.

And on default All-Pro sliders you can get pressure with the DL just fine.

I love the fact they included AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck' and GnR's 'Welcome to the Jungle', though these two songs are played during the contests just a tad too much.

Need to adjust a few sliders, but otherwise a solid title this year.
my thoughts exactly, and thats based on the demo. Im really looking forward to getting this game and finding some settings I like. it been years since I enjoyed playing a season or franchise of football. this may just be the 7th sign, EA has me looking forward to a FB game based on playing a demo. 9m not counting the times they had me looking forward based on marketing and statements LOL

My only gripe with this game is that the injuries come to often. That should be toned down a bit.

Sliders seem to work as intended and I am glad to see pass rush issue is easily fixed with sliders. Should still be patched.

Once I got over my initial nerd rage, I've played 2 play now games and have started to enjoy the game a little bit more.

The CPU still isn't smart, but it's less brain dead thang usual which makes a difference to me.

I so enjoy the camera options

The second game I played I stomped the other team. Ran for 300+ yards. Then found out it was on pro. Played with the Bills, now Toronto Huskies. As others have pointed out it says CAN instead of TOR. The uniform options didn't match the logo or color scheme what-so-ever. They're this odd off-black and beige/tan looking deal. The logo is blue, black and white. There were no options resembling any of those colors. I will give credit for the commentary mentioning they were welcoming a new city to the NFL and having built in references to the Bills having played there. Also poutine and maple glazed dounuts were added to the concessions menu.

The third game was disgusting. 100% disgusting. It's the reason I got pissed about not being able to change sliders during a game in CCM. It was with what used to be the Raiders. Moved the team to London and got commentary there too about how there's been a game in London the last few years and that sort of thing. Divisional realignment is really needed here. AFC West teams flying to London 8 times a year...

Anyway back to this terrible, terrible game. I won 23-20 on a FG with 1:17 left so the final score looks good but the means of having got there was one of the WORST football games I've ever played which is stark contrast to the first game I played. My WRs were constantly being interfered with and not a single call. The DPI slider was at 65. Holding slider was at 75 and there were only 3 penalties all game. All on my team for holding. That's bad but the real problems? A combined 17 sacks. Justin Smith had 20 tackles,1 ast and 10 of those sacks for me. Jay Cutler was 2/8 for 8 yards and 1 INT. How did they stay in it? Micheal Bush with 20 carries,271 yards,13.6 average (at one point it was a 21.8 yard average!),1 TD,4 20+ yard runs and 131 yards after first hit. My QB threw 4 INTs when it really only should've been 1. Only one long pass completed all game. This thing was a complete and utter mess.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

So I just tried to play a "season" game, using the OCM mode.

As far as post game replays go, same problem as with Madden 13:

There is no way to go to the replay of the last play of the game. Imagine winning the in OT on a beautiful play and then just being stuck there with the stats screen.

Furthermore, once the game is over, you cannot watch highlights. In "play now" and online games, the game keeps track of countless plays and makes them available after the game from the highlights menu. You can go watch an actual replay there. Of course, even after the game is over. So you can sit back and relive key plays.

Not in "season" mode though (OCM).

That kills the game for me.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

I noticed they have a new dive over the top of the pile dive animation when you use the precision modifier button. If you TAP, the modifier button by itself, the ball carrier will stutter step, pretty cool to see. Also noticed if you are being tackled and on your way down, if you hold the precision modifier button your ball carrier will spring forward for 2 or 3 or more yards while falling. It is like they would do a last second spring forward animation. Few times I even broke out a group tackle doing this. Come in handy on 3rd downs when you about to come up short. Just hold that modifier button down and you will automatically gain 2 or 3 more yard.

I did notice that the game intro is different between day games and night games. Night games have a way better intro of live team footage.

Dive from behind tackle is pretty damn annoying just like it is in NCAA 14. I had many a long TD run taken away because a 280 pound defensive lineman can dive 5 yards into my ball carriers feet and trip them up. EA need to change this. At least make it stumble recovery POSSIBLE situation and not an AUTOMATIC your player going down situation.

Makes no sense on zero speed threshold for that to be happening. And it always seem to happen when there is nothing but wide open space to run, you think wow, this is so wide open I will surely score a long TD run because nobody is on this side of the field accept 1 DB and he is being blocked by the WR. But nope, defensive lineman dives out of no where and brings you down. Then you left saying WTF did he come from ? He was way over there 5 yards away, how did he dive that far and catch up to me like that from a damn stand still when I was running full speed ?

Finally I noticed WRs can break tackles like power backs in this game. One precision stiff arm and they are gone. I sort of like it though, adds a layer of unpredictability knowing they can turn a 6 yard pass to a 80 yard TD if you don't send an extra defender over there to help tackle. Small RBs can do this as well on screens. They will bust free if you aren't careful.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

I'm done with this game after only 10 games, I'm mad I bought the early edition (only paid $10 for it, already had $15 worth of MS points), I mean this game is just really bad. I tried to make myself like it but I can't sell my sole, dumb my Madden skills down, and pretend to like a game this bad. I mean receivers don't fight for balls (we all knew that) but it just bothersome that receivers just keep running in stride when the ball is thrown behind them! Also the game is way too easy (I see why online is so popular, people want a challenge), you can adjust the sliders to make it harder but theirs is a trade off, if you want a more competitive game and more realistic stats you have to give up on the field realism like user defenders not reacting, too many dropped picks, no pressure on the Qb etc.

The juke modifier is flawed because you can't use it mid run, you have to use it right when back gets the ball in the backfield or you can't use it at all unless you're in the wide open field. So you can't start out running regular, then in mid run decide to press LT to juke a defender because their is a massive delay and your back just gets stuck and you end up getting lit up by the defense.

The Hit Stick is unbalanced, if Im running through the hole with Ray Rice squared up with the safety, no way should that safety be able to knock Ray Rice off his feet in the opposite direction on his back!

But my number one complaint is the lack of smoothness in the game play, I mean this games is just robotic, IE is gotten worst. For some reason defenders seems to just snap off ball carriers when making IE tackles or one defender makes the tackle and others just go diving right past the ball carrier like he's not even their. I wouldn't be that upset about this if Madden's little brother NCAA Football 14 didn't do it better. IE2 in these games are like night and day with Ncaa Football 14 being a way smoother game and the IE tackling is pretty darn good and this is coming from a person who basically bashed Ncaa Football 14.

I don't know why this is, maybe since Ncaa has less graphic fidelity they are able to put more resources towards IE? Madden 25 actually makes Ncaa look like a decent game and I may go back to playing it with sliders. Anyway I am not wasting any more of my time on Madden 25, will just wait to see what it looks like on next-gen consoles.

That's the point. I wasn't able to adjust sliders during the game because I was in CCM. I thought they were the same as my exhibition ones but I apparently missed a few things.

Forgot to mention all the giant ads are covering some of the in game replays. Particularly the play of the game one. Couldn't even see the players on a long pass play because they were covered up by some truck logo.

The whole replay/highlights thing is poor in general. They're broken and play in double speed when saved. Why is there still no broadcast cam for highlights like in NCAA? Why is there still no photo mode?

Oh right...I played the Eagles in that game with the Toronto team.
They had Colt McCoy at QB and were still running the read option and that sort of thing, worse yet he was an effective scrambler. Nick Foles was 2nd on their depth chart and a rookie they drafted was 3rd. Vick and Barkley were gone.
