CPU gone haywire in Connected Franchise

I have been seeing the CPU releasing players which doesnt make any sense.

Brady retired in 2016 then the team moved to dublin

Year 2 of my franchise, frank gore, troy polamalu, dez bryant, adrian peterson were RELEASED!

year 3 calvin johnson was on the trade block. WTF?

The CPU is a little too dynamic in CFM and the smartness just isnt there. Some people you just dont release or trade no matter what.

Can you provide more context? How was each player's productivity? Did the team hit salary cap problems? It's not out of this world at all for teams to release vets who *used* to be big names if they are underperforming and past their peak *and* that team is trying to manage its salary cap number.

frank gore, troy polamalu, is a little realistic because of their ages and cap hits.
I don't have the game yet, but were they declining?

            Packers/Brett Favre
            Colts/Peyton Manning
            49ers/Joe Montana
            Cowboys/Emmitt Smith

etc etc even big names get traded and/or released

Frank Gore is a little realistic in my opinion. The 49ers did draft LaMichael James a couple years ago, and they just drafted Marcus Lattimore. They probably wanted to move on and save $3M by letting him go and get younger at RB. The Steelers are real tight against the cap in real life which means I'm sure they are close in the game. If that is the case and since Troy is due $8.25M in 2014, it was probably a cap move.

Dez Bryant on the other hand, if he was released in Year 2, meaning after the 2014 season, it wasn't because he was released. Dez Bryant's rookie contract ends after 2014 and is a free agent for 2015. Cowboys probably let him go and decided to go elsewhere at receiver.

Figure that may help on why you saw what you saw. It seems AP is the only one that is confusing and says the CPU re-signing logic is the same. Keep us updated as you go through the years and see what other big names are released.

Don't you know it's too early to complain about madden. You have to wait some time. You know madden can do no wrong in the first couple of weeks.

How many of these players contracts were up and they just didn't want to resign with the team ?

Supposedly if the team isn't doing well some players are more difficult this year. That being said,it's likely another trademark EA flub.

some guys just make big deals about nothing. Its the same in NBA 2k , Fifa , MLB Show etc.... If there were never anyone good being released franchise mode would become boring and then you would complain that no good FA gets released...lol.

                        pick a side.

NO, the correct move is releasing WR, Miles Austin, IF a WR had to be released.
Bryant has another 2 years on his deal.

Smh - Even Jerry Jones would not have made this move. lol

This is just like in my 5th season of Madden '13, the WSH let RGIII (rated 90 ovr) walk via Free Agency. Now WSH has a huge hole at QB.
Sorry, this does not happen with a young QB just because you could not hammer out a new deal. It's called the Franchise Tag.

The Franchise Tag should be placed on a player if USER or CPU wants too, right before we click into the start of FA.
That's why the whole stopping negotiating by either side is bs. Needs to be fixed

Ok I looked. Seems like Dez was the only one whose contract was expiring.

AP and Calvin Im not understanding.

Funny.... With 32 team control I don't see ANY of that. I also disabled relocating.

When I first downloaded the game, I simmed 3 seasons. 4 teams relocated in that sim. Year 1.... Rams/ Oakland moved.... Year 2.... Bills moved. Year 3... The jags moved....

I deleted that test sim and promptly disabled ALL teams from relocating.

                              WAY WAY overdone.
