I had a message a few weeks back saying my profile was damaged. I was pissed. I was one gold medal away from having all golds, plus all of the obvious nuances. I now keep a backup. I have no idea what caused it. I never turn off the Xbox during a save. In fact, I always click the right stick and make sure everything is saved.
