i cant stop the run

Like I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I get carved up by every QB, I use zone and man defense and I just get picked apart. You guys have any tips on stopping the pass?

I play on All pro and do not have an issue stopping the pass. Ive played about 8 games in my offline franchise and had no issue. I play with Green Bay.

I play man most the time.

The best advice I can give would be play to your secondaries strengths. If your CB's are good zone but horrible man play zone. Also I can pressure the QB with my D line\OLBs which helps. Try to get the QB moving.


If your issue is online I dont know what to tell you.

What team do you play with? I'm assuming Eagles just based off of your username here, but if not let me know. I would play a 4-3 with a Cover 2 man to man defense. Hot Route your DT's to blitz and control one of them. Press Coverage with your CB's and keep your LB's in a zone. Try that out a bit and see how it works for you... that's a decent starter defense to stop the run.

Gotta be more specific man. There is no 1 defense play that will trump every pass.

Need to know things like:
- Team Used
- Team Faced
- Defensive Playbook Used
- Which Player You Typically User
- Any Specific Sets/Plays/Routes Specifically?

** NOTE ** This game is geared toward offense, like the real NFL. Its harder to play defense than offense, as you probably are aware.

i agree stopping the run can be a issue..i play as Dallas and i jsut played a Vikings game wow AP was tearing me up.. so i switched to a 46 spread my Lb out and did better BUT then he would just throw a deep pass to Jenkins and he woiuld beat my coverag every time for a td? even if i back off wr or press... not sure what else i could do? tried man and zone and he beat me deep every pla.. his D wasnt that great i could beat him on corner routes and over the middle but off. i could do anything on Def.. help plz wanna get better

hit right stick before the snap and if you are sure of it being a run, cheat run left, middle or right. careful, you might give up a big pass play. also be sure to shift your linemen to the side of the run. check out the defensive pre-snap drills. it goes a long way.
