There was no waiting...no hitches. He kicked the ball out to LBJ, and the transition into the play was instantaneous, and looked...natural. Hopefully we as the User get the same thing.
You do. Of course if the D bumps you way out of position it won't but it looks just as good for the user.

One of the reasons this took so long to get in was the sheer amount of animation support it took. It may take a second to get the timing down but there is an early and on time and late release points iirc. You need to pass a bit early not wait until he is actually on you depending on your facing etc.

It really adds a lot to the HC execution.

Wow play speed has been ramped up on a whole new level. Quick fast and to the point. They look like they do in real life executed with purpose. I noticed this in the Gamescom videos the speed of the plays are improved and you can tell that the CPU is running them.

Czar can you comment on that coast to coast play when LeBron took the Haslem pick was that a quick play or just normal pick action by the CPU?

i played the demo a lot, and that happened twice. hopefully it was because it was the demo.

i apologize for cutting off replays while i was playing, tis habit.

i was trying to 'see' plays on my end, but i was doing a horrible job of guessing. so i ended up trying to run thru timmy and tiago a couple times.

in other games i was jacking 3's, they never fell at a crazy clip, could be due to me not knowing jumpers of players that well, or 3's just dont fall like that this year(which would be good)

Haha! Good eye family. I have been pleading for this for years. They haven't said anything about it so I can't either but there is a specific term for what that is. It was not a half-court play.

That my friends is what we organized hoopers refer to as a "secondary break"! If this is now controllable, it will change the game and make over pressuring the best ball handlers in the world just as futile on the game as it is in real life! This is why I love 2k. Every year they make an effort to bring the little nuances that make a huge difference in a basketball game.

Now I just need to see the same evolution in the zone offense bc playing zone on 2k is waaaaaay more effective than paying zone IRL. C'mon 2k don't let me down.

Oh and.... What up mr president dczar! It's that time of year bro! Ill be calling to the show soon! Ha

according to ld2k the zone has been tweaked significantly. supposedly super speedy close outs dont happen like that anymore so we should be able to beat the zone. everything is supposedly more balanced.

In the first video Leonard goes on a fast break and I think it's Chalmers on the the side of him, and I see Leonard goes right through Chalmers for a dunk. I hope I don't see a lot of that.

The 2nd video is just pure gold, from both, cpu and user execution. Might seem unrelated, but it was as if the better (more sim) the user plays, the better the AI is showcased.

I mean, the cpu played with some sort of purpose and did it in a very fluid way, have yet to see something alike. Am in love with the cpu AI and the game in general, more so after JWs comment about watching a later build that was even better than this. Add in Da-Czars comments and it is much more harder to wait until late september to start receiving details about next gen.

Had I not had my PS3 damaged for good, I would have certainly be buying both, current gen and next gen versions ... November 15 cant come soon enough !

I think one of the main things missing from 2k13 was the ability to block dunks and the ability to determine who you want to double team with. Everything else (for the most part) one could fix with sliders and a good roster set.
All I could get out of them is that they have been touched upon, but no more details than that... I suppose we may see an insight on that. ????

They can fix the zone defense problem with quicker passes and better perimeter spacing. In past versions of the game, defenders often moved almost as fast as the ball, which meant unrealistic closeouts on mid and corner three shots (zone killers in real life.)

From the videos I've seen, the passing looks more crisp. I haven't seen enough gameplay to know whether closeouts are still as ridiculously fast as they are in 2k13.
