Too many menus on owner mode. Why have to back out and go to a different tab to release players and back out and go into another one to sigh free agents. Kinda annoying

Idk road. I play a west coast style. Lots of short throws to first or second read. Slants, curls, drags crossing routes, wheel routes. As long as I keep the throws between 8-12 yards user qb is deadly accurate.

As for cpu, I control lb in yellow zone or qb spy n try n take away middle of the field short. The cpu has all day in pocket. If I play zone I get coverage sacks but vs man any cpu qb will shred me. Occasionally I get a blitz sack but if the gets the pass off, it's a completion almost every time.

Ps3 retail overall is worse than the demo in every aspect of the game tho so I doubt it's your sliders.

Just wondering, did you try edge rushing, or faking CB cushion?

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

There's no doubt in my mind I'm trading this in come October 5th. As I and others have stated, there's a lot to like, but for whatever reason, the devs at EA cannot put a complete game together. I'd love to repurchase this game on the next gen console, and hope EA makes a few tweaks to the presentation and game play. However, I'm not feeling very confident.

I find many of the tackles to be strange and unusual looking. My feeling is that obviously the I.E. is still not operating efficiently. The pinball tackles really stand out.

After playing The Show and NBA 2K series, the poor implementation of cut scenes, replays, commentary, and the lack of intelligence of the fans are incredibly apparent.

Maybe it's just me, but I still feel like there is some pre-determination on certain plays. As an example, the A.I. QB will stand in the pocket, with no conception that he's about to be sacked. He'll make no attempt to duck out of the way or move up in the pocket. It's just that the code decided that it's time for the QB to take a sack. Also, it's very clear to me when the CPU RB is on a mission to break tackles and go for a big gain or TD.

These negatives aside, I still look forward to scratching my football itch with this game. I've already played more "play now" games than in the last couple years. For the most part, the game is fun, and I'm enjoying the challenge.

So I'm 5 games into an MUT season (playoffs already woo) and I'm liking the mode quite a bit. They solved my #1 complaint about it by actually matching you with teams close to your ranking. My 68 OVR scrub roster isn't getting splattered by 99 OVR "Daddy bought me an all star team!" guys anymore.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

I edge rush a lot, especially in obvious pass situations. Otherwise I crash the dline and bring the lb on the side the dline is crashing towards in the hope the lb will get a free run. I don't get decent pressure unless I send at least 5.

I never used fake cushion. I use press coverage occasionally. Again cpu picks apart my man defense. If I don't get pressure before the wrs beat the press ( and I usually don't), it's a big play every time.

I pretty much skipped 13 and I'm not the most skilled player on the sticks but I really think it's the game settings. The cardinals offense moved the ball just as effectively as I did, their drives just kept stalling at the 10.

Really, last night I played two games...using basically my starter pack and was up against a team with Elite Brady at QB, Joe Montana on the bench, and basically legends and superstars at every position.

The next game not quite as bad but still star players across the board. I did take this one to overtime, so at least he doesn't know how to use daddy's allstars just yet.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

                  Pros:

                  (1) It is a football game.

                  (2) There seems to be a good amount of features that they added back in from previous versions.

                  (3) Game play feels a bit smoother than last year's game.

                  (4) I haven't run into any superman linebackers, yet.

                  Cons:

                  (1) I don't like the replays, both in game and as highlights. The actual instant replay from the menu looks horrible and when you upload them, they are stuck in fast-forward.

                  (2) The QBs are too accurate on, period.

                  (3) I don't know if it is the PS3 version or what, but I get a load of jaggies.

                  (4) Sometimes the Y button works for fair catches and sometimes it does not, making for a very frustrating return.

                  (5) Interviewer at the end of game has trainer gear on, complete with tape and stuff lol.

                  (6) Game of the play is not always a game-breaking play, same with player of the game.

                  (7) Game face created player/coach has no eyes.

                  (8) Sometimes, my player controlled DBs and WRs will not jump when I tell them to.

                  (9) Sometimes, my when I when I switch to the player closest to the ball, it does not switch to the player closest to the ball.

I don't, I am happy to play a football game, but that is really it. I get the felling that I am playing a touch up of last year's game. I am kind of disappointed, but what should I expect? I had a really tough time deciding on getting this version or next gen's. At times, I think that I made a bad decision.

I don't know what to tell you, I haven't had that experience. Just lucky I guess.

I never had problems getting pressure or putting moves on the OL but im still tweaking my sliders and somehow now my DL is glued to the OL even though I've lowered the PB slider to below where they were Lol...very temperamental game.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Impressions Thread

                        pros

                        -new madden game
-touchdown celebrations are okay except for a few times I see the guy not celebrate at all before the td cutscene celebration comes up

                        cons

-presentation is a joke both quick game and CFM ( no drive summary, doesn't show individual rankings, no cool statistics)
                        - commentary is horrific and boring
                        - touchdown celebrations need work on
                        - running is way too easy especially on goalline
                        - passing is way too accurate
                        - offensive line is way too overpowered (Miami's rushing defense is one of the top and it still can't break o line when playing all madden against Arizona cardinals CPU)
                        - CPU AI NEEDS COMPLETE OVERHAUL. ALL MADDEN CHEATS WAY TOO MUCH. ***
                        - no defensive personalities
                        - franchise should have option to reduce the time of games cpu play in so user can actually compete in the leaderboards in every statistic(defensive tackles, rush/pass tds, yards, etc).
-franchise needs to be better in presentation. Where are the half time shows, the ticker for other games playing???
-NEED A HALFTIME SHOW SIMILAR TO 2k5

Hopefully all of this can be addressed in madden 25 next gen consoles. Finally xbox one will support Blu Ray dual layer in which are 50 gb in size. This current gen only has 8.5 gb used for both ps3 and xbox 360. Imagine what they can do with that much disk size.

my favorite madden game so far since 05. last one i bought was 09. i only play on pro setting and i do not see some of the drawbacks that strayed me away from madden for all these years. like the super human plays and the suction defense. the dive tackles for the ankles can be a little quick sometimes but i can live with that.

online has been 50/50 for me. when there is lag its bad when not its good. the way some people play on there is another thread.

i like the ultimate mode but the packs are a bit expensive. take you a week to save up for one.

the only gripe is the lag and slowdown with this game on the ps3. its "maddening".

After playing about 30 or so games, I am extremely happy with the purchase of this game.

I can't put it down for some reason. I'm Madden whipped. lol

Just got my game in the mail and first impression is that navigating through the menu seems a lot smoother than before. Using custom sliders and getting pretty good results so far. Just need to get the roster updated so i can start my franchise mode

Ok...mixed feeling so far. Like the open feel of the game reminds me of 2k5. Some of the cut scenes do get old get old and repetitive after awhile. QB are too acc even if you put a kicker in their spot. Havent touched sliders yet. All madden can be touch to stop on running plays if you slip up.
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...
