Weather
I wish in Dynasty Mode they would let you pick the weather for your game. Tired of the game loading up with rain all the time.Tags: None -
Re: Weather
I feel you on that. Last year I kept a log of rain games in my online dynasty. Each year I was around the 65% range of having rain games. I doubt a team plays in that much rain every year. Maybe except in the northwest. I wish it would at least tell you the temperature before kickoff like in the older versions. Not a big deal but just a small thing that makes the game more likable. -
Re: Weather
I agree, I would like the option to have a snow bowl, mud bowl or extremely windy conditions, etc .Comment

Re: Weather
id be nice if they would give the forecast of the game before we start like how it is in play nowNFL: New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers
NHL: San Jose Sharks, Anahiem Ducks
NBA: San Antonio Spurs
MLB: Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves
MLS: Seattle Sounders
NCAAFB: Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Arkansas

Re: Weather
I like random weather, but I agree the ability to decide would be a nice option. FIFA handles it perfectly. In manager mode the game will randomly select a weather appropriate to the time of year, but you also have the option to change it to whatever you want.Comment

Re: Weather
I've been saying this for years I wish EA would implement weather forecasts and a weather map.
nothing bugs me more than(especially in NCAA) having 2 teams play in the same city-ish and have completely different weather. I'm visiting SMU and my game is a sunny day game and my highlights reflect that, the TCU user uploads his home game highlights from the same kickoff time and he is playing in a torential downpour...
have a weather map or forecast for the week, central Texas(austin) is expecting 90% rain with concentric circles outwards lowering the probability of bad weather. that way you have an idea that ok this week I have a 50% chance of rain or it looks like it is just going to be a hot September day or the cold front has hit but it looks like I'll probably just have a cold weather day or whatever.
anything is better than just randomly assigning a weather outcome with each game being started. this could also be used in CPU simming, the CPU is always getting perfect weather to rack up their stats while I'm playing 2 home games in the rain and 2 road games in bad weather in the north east and struggling to have solid stats.Comment

Re: Weather
Sorry for the extreme bump, but I would rather bump an old thread than start a new one.
So last night I started year two of a dynasty with Maryland. I played the first 6 games, went 5-1, and noticed that almost every game (both home and away) was rain. Here was my schedule:
Week 1: Bye
Week 2: At home vs Rutgers
Week 3: At home vs Wake Forest
Week 4: Away vs West Virginia
Week 5: Away vs Temple (Sun)
Week 6: Away vs Florida State
Week 7: Away vs Clemson
Week 8 was a bye and then it was pushing midnight EST so I was off to bed.
I know nothing will come of this, but I just wanted to vent a little frustration. 5 of my 6 games were in the rain (day and night games). Poor Maryland must have a rain cloud just following them, ha.Comment

Re: Weather
I've officially realized weather is glitches in some way. If you go into practice and set the weather to overcast or foggy once it loads up...you'll be practicing in rain. So in dynasty the game CANNOT produce anything but sunshine or downpour/snow.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Weather
I am seeing much less rain in '14, especially compared to '11 (which is the last version that I played a lot of).
I did have a nice Play Now game the other night (testing sliders) with some low clouds/fog in a night game at Camp Randall using live weather. Just wish there was some more of that in Dynasty games...Comment

Localized rain is actually very common in an area as big as Dallas-Ft Worth, but yeah the contrast in your example is a bit exaggerated.Alumnus:
- Northern Arizona University
- University of North Texas
My teams:
NFL - Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals
NCAAF/B - Arizona Wildcats, Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, North Texas Mean Green
I find it amusing that the OS icon for NAU is 20 years (and three rebrands!) out of date.Comment

Re: Weather
oh I know, I'm from Dallas. I know that fronts move through rather quickly but I'm speaking broadly because we have had former instances of someone play TX/OU in rain and a SMU home game is bright and sunny 95degree day.
still wish they were able to create a weather forecast and put the "weather.com" app/sponsorship that they have and put it to better use.Comment

Re: Weather
Man, I'd just settle for having the option to use "live weather" as my weather setting for my dynasty games. I think that would at least randomize it a little bit.
Granted, I play one, MAYBE two games at a time when I play so for those of you that have the free time to sit down and reel off about 5-6 games in one sitting that might be a beating to play six straight games in the snow.
