Odds are they keeping the teams from 2K12 again so you'll likely see Pistol unless there is an issue with whoever owns his estate about the contract to use his likeness

They need to get rid of all the teams from the 60's, and 70's. And replace them with more teams from the 90's and 2000's.

Hopefully with next gen they can add many more teams than what they could this gen. Keep the 72 Lakers and 65 Celtics though and remove the rest to add stuff from the 00s

I don't really class teams from the 00's to be 'classic'.

Personally speaking, I'd ditch all the Euro teams, the celebrity team and the dream teams in favour of bolstering the 80's and 90's classic teams.

I don't really consider them classic but I'd like the 01 Lakers and an actual prime era Tim Duncan. I'd rather them focus much more on the 80s and early 90s than the late 90s

Yeah, it appears to be a licensing thing. Charles Barkley has been reluctant to have his name used by the NBA.

While that is true, it makes absolutely no sense on his part. So he won't let them use his likeness in the game because he has issues with the NBA yet he'll gladly sit his oversized behind on a couch with other former NBA players (C-Webb, Reggie I'm looking at you) and be involved in all things related to the NBA.

Double standards.

Perhaps so, though I admit there's a lot of possible dynamics to this situation. Maybe he feels different earning money from TNT for doing a job versus just lending out his likeness to a video game so the NBA can profit, even though he's not doing anything. I obviously can't make an argument for him because I'm not him, but one way or another, he seems to have made a decision about the blind use of his own likeness in conjunction with the NBA. It just is what it is, I suppose.

This is why I LOVE the PC version. I have that roster that has every team from 1975 to 2013. I could play it all day.

I would like to see teams like this included on the PS4/Xbox One versions too.

Agreed. First classic teams should be 80's Celtics/Lakers and then worth there way up from there to the 2011 Mavs.

I agree Get rid of the the likes of Jerry West, Walt Frazier, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain? no way.

The NBA existed before Jordan arrived.
