I agree with you. Its not that nothing can be done, its that nothing will be done. There is no monetary reason for EA to do so, and that is what motivates a company like EA. They could easily use their own servers to host these games, but its cheaper to use the P2P networks. The could potentially ban/suspend accounts, but they would lose valuable MUT micro-transactions and possible future sales. They could erase records, but....I don't know why they can't do this, but I'm sure there is a monetary reason behind it. Which is why I only play online game withing the OS community. I could care less about being ranked in the madden top anything.

It says on the EA newswire in Madden 25 that EA takes cheating seriously and that they are enforcing stat wipes and banning players who cheat in order to climb the leaderboards. If that is true why is it that the top 100 is filled with obvious cheaters? I am confused.

I was just ip booted last night . I wish there were some clear concise way to report it. That's 2x so far on Madden 25 so far. I still enjoy online even if I have to deal with being disconnected after battling for 45min lol.

The evidence is stacked and overwhelming yet for some reason EA does not do anything to punish these scumbags! I just can not understand why. These people are a cancer to the online gaming community. I am totally fed up with it.

I know they are not totally ignoring it because I went to the ea sports forums and people are on their requesting to be unbanned. I know a few dudes that were banned on NCAA. Its hard to police it all but they are not just ignoring it. For me? I play only friends or offline

I have heard that something as simple as having dedicated servers can put an end to this problem that is a plague to online gaming! I am sick and tired of seeing all of the obvious ip booters on the top 100 list in madden and nothing ever happens to them! What is so difficult about EA banning them? I can not understand how this could be going on year after and EA just does not seem to care because they never take any action to deter or prevent it! We need to be able to see our opponents last ten games! Show their opponents and the scores of the last ten games in the matchmaking screen before we agree to play them! There are a few things EA can do! I just want to get the discussion started! This is way overdue!

I agree. A comprehensive screening system, including record, players review, times DNF, teams used ....etc would be quite effective. I been saying it for years. It can be done.

You can get IP booted in any game.

I myself purchased an Asus AC66R router that has built in DOS protection. I've never been DOS attacked since. People try and I notice the game slow down, but my router just doesn't allow it. You'd be amazed at the messages I get when they can't kick me. It's great.

It definitely helps, however if someone wants to get you they will by having multiple people do it to you.

Keep resetting your IP, it helps...a lot. Avoid parties with people other than those you trust. When it does happen, call your ISP, let thm know what's going on. The more times they're notified the more incentive they'll had to add some kind of safeguards. Finally there is software out there to counteract this, but you do have to pay for it.

I am not so sure I can believe what you are saying because if you look at the top 100 the same obvious ip booters are at the top of the list in plain view and nothing is happening. When I see those clowns get their stats reset and banned I will begin to have faith but until then I still think that EA just does not care!
