Starter being taken out of the gameI was playing as Georgia and Todd Gurley was taken out of the game all of a sudden.I was in the 3rd quarter. He wasn't injured or anything. I looked at the depth chart and he was still there as 1st string. I tried everything it was like he wasn't on the team anymore or something.Tags: None

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

Must be a fatigue issue. He dropped below the level at which your running backs were set to come out of the game and couldn't get back up high enough to go back in. Go to the substitution menu and turn down the level for guys to go back into the game (and if needed turn down the level at which they come out).

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

I have had this happen to me and don't know how it can be fatigue. I run the option with GA Tech and am constantly running the football. It seems to randomly happen as well. One of my backs carries it between 20-30 times a game, and occasionally will need to be spelled for 2-3 plays in a row, but then is right back in there. A few times, however, he will go out, and stay out the rest of the game. It has happened 2 times in 3 seasons. This, like you mentioned, is for over an entire quarter!! Has to be some kind of fatigue glitch in the game because there is no rhyme or reason for it to happen when it does.Comment

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

It's been happening at least since NCAA '11. It seems to be tied to your auto-subs and once the game decides the player is done, he's done. Lowering your auto-subs to 0/1 after the fact won't do you any good.

It seems your best bet is to leave auto-subs at default and manually sub players in via depth chart or packages.Comment

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

In your playcalling screen you can move the thumbstick right or left and create substitutions...one will say spell HB with your backup RB number on the green dot in the formation...

Like some of the others have said...Subbing in a backup during pass plays where your starter isn't a primary is a good way of fighting fatigue and you really have to spell your RB wisely to keep him at a high level all game long...I've literally watched my starting RB drop off in ability and I know I need to sit him...Then a back up comes in and you can see the change of pace happen...Comment

Your talking about the Right thumb stick? I've never seen this and I'm pretty sure i've moved my stick around on the playcalling screen. In your playcalling screen you can move the thumbstick right or left and create substitutions...one will say spell HB with your backup RB number on the green dot in the formation...

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

Moving the right thumbstick left or right on the playcalling screen will bring in different packages of the formation you're looking at. It'll say things like "HB Spell" or "Backup QB" or "Stack Strong" depending on the packages available for the formation you're looking at.WE ARE PENN STATE

Re: Starter being taken out of the game

This doesn't show up in the coach's choice playcalling screens. It will be there if you select your offensive plays by formation.Comment
