2k14 My Career?

Besides the new gameplay mechanics and better teammate AI carrying over to My Career mode there are a couple things they haven't addressed that I really hope they added this year:

1) The ability to play the games of our choice: I don't have the time to play every single "key game" for multiple seasons, not to mention the key games are always the same 4 or 5 teams multiple times. If I want to play my entire rookie season to build up my player, but then simulate regular seasons throughout my career to build up my stats, why shouldn't we have the option to do that instead of being forced to play 25-30 games every season? I only manage to get through about 5-6 seasons before I get bored and retire early.

2) Better CAP: I know it's something the whole community has been asking for, but honestly seeing how MLB The Show and FIFA have given the gamer countless options in customizing our player...2k has given us the same bare-bone options year after year. I understand that adding different voices is a bit more difficult but facial structure and body type should be a priority when offering a career mode in any game.

I guess I'm just a bit frustrated that 2k spends their time adding spanish commentary, euro league teams, a Lebron mode, and focusing on MyTeam rather than putting more time and effort into Association and MyCareer. I just hope they fixed contracts in MyCareer this year and actually have your contract affect the team cap and to see how much you are getting paid in real money.

I am new in MyCareer, I just played this about 2 months ago after being frustrated with NHL.

Anyhow, if I could add to your list:

1. Coaching - i understand that coaches designates how many minutes a player play in a game. But if it's a blowout, as one of the star players, our player must also be benched along with the other stars.

2. Playing minutes - again with the designated minutes, there are times that I'll be called to the bench and then less than a minute be put back in...only to be pulled in under 2 minutes. Irritating.

I understand that there are times that your player will play different position at times. Ex. my sf sometimes play SG or PF. Whenever I play PF and being overpowered by another team, the coach must either substitute me or bring me back to SF position. It keeps pulling back my rating.

I hope they fix the issue when your team is blowing out the other team and your still on the floor and not on the bench as a starter.

I dont understand. In 2k3, the level of customization for CAP was unheard of. Now we've had the same barebones options for 3 years running.

Pretty sure euro league (roster and art), commentary (audio) are different departments than those who fix association and mycareer, which would be more the programming department.

but u can actually choose a body type and if u put only a little time in creating your players face you can make him look like however you want

You can make your player skinny or fat by adjusting neck size + weight.

2K13 added a ton of my player crap so I ain't buying the neglected stepchild story I think Association peeps got that covered

It must be a coincidence then that all new rookies look the same too. And on PC none of the "added ton of my player crap" works (attribute-boosting accessories and shoes, if that is what you meant).

Anyway, selecting which matches to play would be nice indeed.
