    The 1970's Roster by Sellaz32 & SHH4UA

    The 1970's Roster by Sellaz32 and SHH4UA

First off, I want to thank everybody who enjoys playing retro rosters and those of you who have continued to show interest in our work. As always, this wouldn't be possible without Vlad Zola's Red MC program. THANK YOU VLAD!

Special thanks to vtcrb for his ongoing support and guidance with various gameplay edit ideas, and for CF look-a-like suggestions as well. (You earned your 5%..lol)

    Gamertag: Sellaz32
    Filename: 70's Roster

    ABA Ball code: payrespect

YOU MUST BE DISCONNECTED FROM XBOX LIVE OR IT WILL FREEZE DURING TEAM SELECTION. SORRY GUYS...IT IS WHAT IT IS.

    Offline link : https://www.sendspace.com/file/h36u40

    Rotation guide: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

    Season mode file: https://www.sendspace.com/file/xqdyw0

Slider set recommendations: since I only play CPU v CPU, I don't have an official slider set. This would be the first set I would try as a user however... http://theeditorscorner.com/forum/th...2.html#pid3642.
I would increase all the dunk tendencies to 100 though.

    Roster Details

-21 NBA teams and 10 ABA teams from 1970-1979.
-As authentic as possible jersey edits.
    -Authentic gameplay
    -Complete player edit overhaul
    - Edited bio information (Accurate College, Age, Years of Experience)
    - Edited ratings and tendencies
    - Edited Sig skills
    - Edited Signature animations. (Will probably continue to update with more research)
    - Accurate as possible accessories and shoes
-Fully functional Season and Playoff Mode with ABA teams in 2 distinct divisions.
    - Accurate sim stats.
    - Edited coaches and coach profiles
    - Authentic Arenas
    - Edited playbooks

I used CF look a likes in many cases, but also used a lot of CAPs as well. I know some guys want all CFs, but IMO there are many cases when a CAP beats a CF, especially when the CF player is well known.

    Here is the team list:
    1. 69-70 New York Knicks
    2. 69-70 Phoenix Suns
    3. 69-70 Indiana Pacers *
    4. 69-70 Denver Rockets *
    5. 70-71 Milwaukee Bucks
    6. 73-74 Detroit Pistons
    7. 71-72 Los Angeles Lakers
    8. 74-75 Spirits of St. Louis *
    9. 71-72 Kentucky Colonels *
    10. 71-72 Chicago Bulls
    11. 71-72 Utah Stars *
    12. 72-73 Boston Celtics
    13. 72-73 Kansas City-Omaha Kings
    14. 72-73 Indiana Pacers *
    15. 72-73 Carolina Cougars *
    16. 73-74 New York Nets *
    17. 74-75 Golden State Warriors
    18. 74-75 San Antonio Spurs *
    19. 74-75 Buffalo Braves
    20. 75-76 Denver Nuggets *
    21. 75-76 Cleveland Cavaliers
    22. 76-77 Philadelphia 76ers
    23. 76-77 Portland Trailblazers
    24. 77-78 New Orleans Jazz
    25. 77-78 Washington Bullets
    26. 78-79 Seattle Supersonics
    27. 78-79 Houston Rockets
    28. 78-79 San Diego Clippers
    29. 78-79 Phoenix Suns
    30. 78-79 Los Angeles Lakers.
    31. 69-70 Atlanta Hawks

    * ABA teams

About the season mode file: This file is a 30 team controlled season ready file with accurate minutes and rotations designed to yield more accurate sim stats and season results. Their are some teams who are a better than their season in real life, but that was because on paper they SHOULD have done better..or they had injuries I didn't want to implement.

    Enjoy!

Yeah man..definitely...get RED MC too so you can help me do some troubleshooting!

We decided to move away from ultimate/super/mega rosters because they end up being overwhelming and diluted IMO. The phrase "less is more" definitely applies with roster making. We realized this when doing the 1987 roster. We were able to give each team the attention they deserved...which made for a higher quality product. With mega roster sets the subtle details and nuances get lost. So this one will be only 30 teams...

I honestly probably won't pick it up, I just don't and won't have the time (first semester of grad school...) to familiarize my self. i'd like to though man, I miss roster design. Loading that first CPU vs CPU game -- it's like watching your kid play his first Little League game or something lol. Remember though, I have those pre-season guides from the early 70s if you need me to look up anything about a player (ABA & NBA). I'll probably pick up 2K14 in mid-October over fall break. Go immediately to the zeroed out roster and run some experiments in Simulation and in-game (via games with 1-minute quarters).

You should add the Flint Tropics while your at it.

Cool...I will PM you. You know there really is something about loading up a CPU v CPU game after taking the time to create them. That's what I like most about it I think,

Word. So those ~120 point games of the ABA are more attainable with '13?
