Georgetown Hoyas 2014: The Class of the METRO
With 5 Freshman starters on defense, both their kicker and punter, and 5 on offense Georgetown upgraded talent all around the field on both sides of the ball. They have speed at the skill positions that they lacked a year ago, and FBS sized offensive linemen they also lacked.

They will be a big, physical team up front, led by Freshman Left Tackle Charles Horton. Horton weighs in at 6'5 336 pounds of muscle. On the other side, Freshman Curtis Anderson clocks in at 6'2 314 pounds. Two huge tackles to block rushers to help keep Jeff Sanders healthy, and to block for physically gifted Freshman runner Brian Jackson. Jackson is fast (rated 90 speed) and physical (82 strength). He can blow by a defender or run them over if needed.

Despite having Jeff Sanders run for 1,175 yards a year ago, the rest of their rushing game had issues. Those should be solved with the addition of Jackson. Offering an alternative option to Darren Swift, Freshman Jonathan Davis at 6'0 197 will line up opposite him. Davis has the wheels and hands to be a threat, and should help keep defenses honest. If he doesn't, Freshman tight end Terrance Bell, all 6'4 239 pounds of him should help.

The biggest additions on the defensive side of the ball are right end Oliver Goddard, the 6'5 257 pound Freshman can flat stop the run, and two speedy outside linebackers in Willie Jenkins and Robbie Ford will help Georgetown protect the outside.

This team is better than a year ago, but so are most of the teams in the METRO Conference. With a tougher schedule they probably won't go 13-1 this season, but a 10 win season should be expected.
