    Question about Sliders and Difficulty

So I have a slight dilemma, When I play on Pro with default sliders on Simulation I give up 6 to 8 goals to the CPU while scoring anywhere from 0-6. I bump it down to rookie and score 20 goals easy.

My question is what sliders should I adjust to even it out. I feel the jump from rookie to pro is very steep. Im looking for a challenge but a winnable challenge.

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

adjust the pro sliders Id say....
put your puck control and pass interception up to see if that helps you any...also maybe putting the CPU Aggressiveness down
if its still not getting better, try putting the CPU Acceleration down 1 notch from yours
(lots to play with, some sliders do things that arent a part of the slider "credential")

also pay attention to things like:

    Time on Attack
    Passing %
    Shot Totals
    Hits

after the game before going back to the Main Screen, check the games Stats
from there you will have a idea what needs to be changed

Im guessing they are outshooting you, and have more Time on Attack as well as higher Passing %

    just some things to try

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

Cool thanks. I will do that. They are out shooting me in some games other games we are close. They have a way better passing % and hits are fairly close.

It seems like my goalie can stop anything and their goalie can stop everything.

Biggest change i see from rookie to pro is aggressiveness(i think). With rookie I can set up in the zone no issue but pro I have no time to do anything it feels like.

it always seems like the CPU Goalie is much better then the Human Goalie

i always have my Goalie Reaction Sliders at.....

        Hum - 3 (sometimes 2)
        CPU - 0

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

Great post!! I am in exactly the same situation... Rookie is to easy, Pro is a little too hard. I changed some of the sliders as mentioned in this forum, and had a better game last night. I do find that the CPU defense is always kicking my ***... Where as I dominate in body checks, every time I enter the offensive zone, seems like I go near a guy and the puck is gone...yet when I am defending the CPU guys can be poked, hammered, pinned and they still manage to get a SOG... Any thoughts?

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

Dropping aggression helped alot. I currently got aggression at 1 instead of 3. It seems to low so I will bump it up to 2 and go from there. I moved puck control and pass int up 1 for user.

I put the goalies to 3 for human and 0 for cpu. Going to have to mess with that still since the CPU lets easy ones in.

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

go to Fiddy's sliders and keep the difficulty setting at pro but follw the rest of his sliders. you should get a great game out of that.

Re: Question about Sliders and Difficulty

Puck control should go DOWN. You will be HARDER to knock off the puck. While my own sliders differ from most everyone elses on here, I believe my puck control is at 2 or 3.

Are a lot of the goals that go in (on either side) from rebounds that make the goalie come out of the crease? Or from having a skater go behind the net and walk out in front and the goalie comes out for an easy goal?

Ill give Fiddys sliders a shot.

A lot of them are from the blue line. One I just skated in a shot it just to get it on net and it went in.
