Doing a Dynasty here on OS as the Browns (whom I love) and am 4 weeks in on it. However, the trade here is so huge that I'm going to make sure it goes through even though it didn't quite fit my vision of the Browns. As a Browns fan, it's just way too monumental not to do it, so, I'll be making the trade happen and giving Hoyer a go.

Moreover, I will probably deal Weeden for a late round-pick since the writing is on the wall in real life and he's been poor in mine too. Just trying to think of a reasonable destination for him and a reasonable compensation, if any.

well in order for the trade to work your gonna have give more then Richardson to the colts because swamping t-rich for their #1 gets rejected the colts want more.... I just tried it I gave up t-rich and the RE Bryant and it went through.. this was just a test ccm as im in week 14 of my real ccm and cant do the trade.

Well, I'm controlling all 32 teams so, I can make it fly. And, if you are playing offline you could always take control of the Colts and Browns for a second, make it happen, then drop out of Colts ownership.

Gah, Bryant is probably one of their more valuable pieces.

Can you not take control of the Colts, force the trade, and then retire?

Do you make yourself start 0-2 if you are the browns? I mean that's realistic, right?

I personally wouldn't let real life influence my CFM once I hit the go button.

I'd take him to back up Matt Ryan. The Falcons have no one if we lose MR.

I struggled with exactly this focus. Because you're right. That's what I feel too. However, as an owner of the Browns, I'm going to let the brass make this decision (I wouldn't have done it myself), so I can play it off that way. I'm 3-2 with the Browns in mine, and Richardson is hurt 4 weeks so the trade has to wait (may even have to wait till the off-season, but probably the month) and let it be.

It's just SO HUGE of a fortune change that I have to do it-- as a Browns fan, it wouldn't feel right if I let it go and not do it. You know?

The landscape of the Browns has shifted big time. I'd feel bad if I didn't make the shift. And say that Joe Banner/ Lombardi saw what they saw in real life.

Good thought-- Hadn't considered the Falcons, and wanted to get him a backup spot. The Texans are out Schaub for 4 weeks in mine but I don't think they'd take Weeden over Yates or Keenum, so maybe Atlanta is a good call. Possibly also Green Bay?

What compensation might make sense? 5th rd?

I actually do make myself start 0-2 :P I even line up the stats lol.

However I completely understand most wouldn't.

is there a specific part of the season, or off season, you can add the control of additional franchises?

pretty sure you can do it anytime I'm in Week 5 of the season and all I'd have to do is press down on the RS stick while on any menu. A little window in the top right part of the screen opens that's let me either switch between characters I've created or Create a New Character. Just create a new owner for either or both the Colts/Browns and you should be set. it may not let you retire those characters until the season is over I'm not sure, but if that's the case just go to user teams and put the other characters on auto pilot or whatever they call it

I just started a new Bears CFM, but I wanted to make the trade go through since it was a pretty big transaction, and I had no problem adding Chudzinski and Pagano, making the trade and then retiring them both immediately in week 1 of the preseason, so I'd imagine you can retire someone mid-season

Yea it is a pretty big change in terms of the Browns franchise. The move is huge because he is their best offensive player. Does that mean you also give up on your season, tank to get a top 3 pick so you can snag a QB?

I just create that preseason deadline of my CFM where anything IRL that happens up until I start my preseason will be changed. Once I start rolling along it's my little world and I'm running the team like I want.

I definitely see the other side of the coin with this.
